Despite #Ukraine public's steady and overwhelming resentment of #Russia and capitulation to the latter (as shown by polls), Kremlin's chances for a successful "hybrid" (less-bloody) capture of Ukraine (for a short time, of course) aren't completely gone:

1. There's demonstrable, increasingly-overt pro-Kremlin influence in #Ukraine President Zelensky's Office, Prosecutor General's Office, courts etc.
This influence might be rival to the #Putin's relative & traditional envoy Medvedchuk, but it's certainly beneficial for #Russia.

On Monday, two Good Shepherd Collective members headed to #Ofer #military court & #prison to stand in #solidarity with Sami Huraini of Youth Of Sumud / شباب صمود and his family on the day of his trial.

Although we were unable to join Sami in the #courtroom, we sat with his family and dozens of other #Palestinians awaiting their family members, imprisoned and/or awaiting #prosecution in the #military #court system.

In Sami’s case, his trial was postponed, granting momentary relief despite a continuation of the bail conditions which prevent him from participating in #protests—essentially, keeping him from exercising his most basic right to #free speech and #resistance to #oppression.

I've been reviewing decisions of the #HawaiiSupremeCourt on the question of whether #nonprofits were properly charged a #generalexcise #tax under Hawaiian law for various activities and operations that produced #income to the organization.

Courts begin (and end) their principal analysis of such issues by examining an underlying tax law, code, rule, or regulation.
