During the trip, the team collected creek water from creeks upstream of the train derailment site, including in #Pennsylvania.
They also went to several other creeks in Ohio, no "sheens" were observed there.

Hey #Indiana, on last week's #HoosLeft podcast, I wrestled with whether or not the Democratic Party is the best route for progressive change.
I decided that, imperfections and all, the nature of our system yields two parties. If we want to change that, we need to use the infrastructure already in place to gain the power do so.
The authoritarian far-right are way too close to realizing all their goals and I fear the hour is too late to try and build something altogether new.

#HB 1608 passed in the House last Thursday and will move onto the Senate this week. This disgraceful bill stigmatizes trans kids, as if they weren't struggling enough already.
#Hoosier #Republicans, already using state funds to subsidize religious education and already-wealthy private school parents, have now seen fit to single out the 0.006% of kids that identify as trans.

I was caught a bit off guard at the Zionsville Seniors night for the woman's soccer team. It was a beautiful event where the seniors were introduced along with their families.

Each senior provided their college or next step after high school, a favorite quote, and their most memorable soccer memory. They then played recordings from old coaches, friends, families, neighbors, and anyone else. Some were brief, while others were longer and hilarious.
What stood out to me the most was our kids' memories, the values they hold tightest, and their impact didn’t include any scores. Many groups have been vocal about focusing on core academia, stopping with all the emotional and feeling stuff, and getting back to educating.
