When Congress subpoenas Mueller, what questions would you have them ask?

I’ll get us started with a few.

#QuestionsForMueller under oath:

“In your opinion which of the numerous spin off investigations puts Trump in the most legal jeopardy & why?”
#ReleaseTheFullMuellerReport

#QuestionsForMueller under oath:

“In your opinion as prosecutor and former intelligence director, should Congress impeach Trump?”
#ReleaseTheFullMuellerReport

#QuestionsForMueller under oath:

“Did you find evidence that Trump was involved in any money laundering for Russians or others?”

Philip Lacovara tells @maddow that "exactly how much should be excluded or redacted as Grand Jury material is up to the discretion of the person who is weilding the scapel, because the rule only prohibits disclosure of matters occurring before the grand jury. 1/
That could be viewed properly as limited just to quotations of testimony, for example. It doesn't necessarily require redacting characterizations of evidence that happen to be derived from the information that was developed during the Grand Jury proceeding. 2/
I think it's a troublesome development that Attorney General Barr says that he is planning to use the most comprehensive view of Grand Jury material in deciding what he is going to excise." 3/

NADLER: Congress requires the full & complete Special Counsel report—w/o redactions—and access to the underlying evidence—without delay.
"The entire reason for appointing the special counsel was to protect the investigation from political influence. By offering us his version of events in lieu of the report, the attorney general, a recent political appointee, undermines the work and the integrity of his department

I would also argue that declaring yourself “completely and totally exonerated” by a report that did not exonerate you and you won’t let the public see, and waging a propaganda campaign in conservative media along with calls to “investigate the other side” constitutes obstruction.

The square bracket might be the most consequential #punctuation mark in US history. #Barr's [T] shows he OMITTED the opening portion of this KEY #Mueller sentence in his summary. Something came before "[T]he investigation did not establish..." #ReleaseTheFullMuellerReport thread
Why did #Barr shorten the most exculpatory quotation in his summary? It's not as if he had a tight word count. If #Mueller completely cleared Trump & others, why not include the full sentence?
And why did #Barr the quote the sentence in such a way that he needed to show he'd changed a lower-case to upper-case T? He could've written: The report states that "the investigation ... " and avoided the fussy [T].

THREAD: Attorney General Barr’s woefully insufficient summary doesn’t include A SINGLE full sentence from Robert Mueller’s report.

But one of the half-sentences he cited makes it clear: The Mueller report “DOES NOT EXONERATE” Trump.
Barr’s summary of Mueller’s findings leaves behind far more questions than answers.

Here are some of the biggest ones, via the @Moscow_Project:

@moscow_project 1. Don Jr., Kushner, and Manafort took the infamous June 9 Trump Tower meeting with Russians who had promised them dirt on Hillary Clinton.

What did they discuss? And why does Barr suggest that the campaign rebuffed outreach from Russia?

1. The Mueller probe was never going to solve the problem our nation faces. Even if the high bar of criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt could've been met, the DOJ was never going to indict a sitting president. And William Barr was never going to concede obstruction.
2. No, Mueller tossed the mess right back where it inevitably belonged - with Congress and the American people. Barr must #ReleaseTheFullMuellerReport so we can tend to the task before us. The standards for the office of POTUS are greater than mere criminality.
3. Nixon didn't break into the Watergate hotel. He lied and covered up. Clinton's affair wasn't a criminal act. Lying about it was. Trump and his campaign knew about Russian interference. They were approached over and over - but reported nothing and consistently lied when asked.

THREAD: Editorial Boards: #ReleaseTheFullMuellerReport to the American People

AG Barr’s 4-pg cliff notes version of a 22 month investigation leaves many questions unanswered and makes it clear that Mueller did NOT exonerate Trump on obstruction of justice
apnews.com/6d63e85b34dd44…
1/ Mueller’s full report must be released to the public, so that Americans get the transparency they deserve and Congress can be allowed to conduct proper oversight.

Editorial boards across the country agree that Mueller’s full report must be released to the public.
2/ @USAToday Editorial: “Congress and the public deserve to see Mueller's full, taxpayer-funded report, and that should happen, with redactions only to protect sources and methods.”

I disconnected yesterday and have taken some time to reflect on the impact of the #BarrLetter

Tuning back in and I see some overcorrection from the media, a demand for answers on the left, some gloating on the right, and dumb 2020 takes all around

Here are my thoughts

THREAD
1) Barr (and Rosenstein) need to testify about their obstruction decision and we must see the full report.

Mueller found evidence of obstruction but left it up to Barr to decide what to do. Barr was appointed after writing a letter against the obstruction case. We need answers.
2) Mueller should testify as well.

Not finding a "tacit agreement" to conspire does not void all the open coordination we saw in public view.

We know the Trump camp knew about Russia's efforts to help them via Don Jr.'s emails.

We need details.

Shocker: Bill Barr—appointed AG after giving Trump a 19-page memo saying Trump didn't obstruct justice—just exonerated Trump of obstruction of justice. Mueller specifically said "this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him"
Mueller couldn't establish corrupt intent for obstruction of justice b/c Trump refused to talk w/ investigators. W/o putting Trump under oath, Barr exonerates him. Barr was put in charge of DOJ to salvage the GOP—even if it meant letting Trump get away with everything. Shameful.
.@JeffreyToobin points out the impropriety of AG Barr concluding no obstruction of justice when the whole point of appointing a special counsel was b/c Trump’s political appointees—like AG—have an inherent conflict of interest. And now we see, AG Barr is indeed Trump’s lackey.
