1/ 2016 - Trump flirts with unpopular Pence.

"There are plenty of Republicans in his home state who would be glad to see him abandon his re-election campaign to serve as Donald Trump’s running mate."

politico.com/story/2016/07/… Image
2/ Following meetings with DJT in early July 2016 (prior to the RNC), news reports were circulating that Pence was frontrunner as DJT's VP running mate. No sooner than those reports came out, it was then reported that Pence had sealed his Congressional Records.

The U.S. surpassed 350,000 reported deaths from #COVID19 last night.
gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashbo…

And Trump, Pence & Alex Azar are doing what about it today?

Where is the accountability for these deaths?

#MaskUp
As of yesterday #CDC says 13,071,925 doses of #COVID19 #vaccines distributed but only 4,225,756 administered.
covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tra…

Recall, Alex Azar pushed back against any additional funds for states to administer vaccines. #HHS was also slow to distribute #CARESAct funds.
Fauci on #ThisWeek: "There's no running away from the numbers."
"The deaths are real deaths."

Meanwhile, Trump remains in denial & continues to undermine #CDC's #publichealth experts.

Govt had crucial opportunity to ramp up #TestandTrace over summer. But they didn't despite constant urging and questioning Now at avg 3.5 days turnaround and only tracing back 48 hours. Both need to be address as matter of critical urgency. @RoisinShortall #ThisWeek @thisweekrte
There's absolutely no monitoring of people coming in & out of air/ports. #Transport Minster talks about 'possibility' of antigen testing. But 10 days out from adopting #EU travel system, this is hopelessly inadequate @RoisinShortall #ThisWeek
'Pass the Parcel' continues on #Covid19 related travel. Nobody will take responsibility. Moves from Transport to Health to Justice. One of them has to get a grip immediately. In mid Oct move to new EU travel rules but no system to test, track and monitor. @RoisinShortall #Covid19

This week: evaluate your friendships.

4 tests:

1. Good friends discuss IDEAS, not other people.

This week: invest your time.

We often think about investments in terms of finance. But our most valuable resource is time.

We waste and underutilize this valuable resource by devoting hours to amusement and minutes to investment.

This week, let's flip the script.

Cont...
Amusements are fun but boring activities yield immense future dividends.

This week, let's:

1. Think & plan for the future.
2. Read & learn something new.
3. Teach & help someone become better.

Time investment > amusements.

This week: see it before you get there.

Every successful person I know visualizes their desired future. They see the end before starting the journey.

The universe has a mechanism for bringing the things you see to life. It's called faith.

This week: see it.

#ThisWeek
I deliberately visualize my life journeys before leaving the port.

2010: the goal was to attend Oxford Uni.

So I spent hours walking through its streets, wearing those fabled Oxford sub fusc, and living in those 800 year old buildings (IN MY MIND) before even taking the GMAT.
A few years ago, my goal was just to get a job after graduating from university.

In a country with >40% youth unemployment, that was a big goal.

Once again, visualization plus preparation did the trick.

You however can't just see it and go to bed. you also have to work for it.

This week: Plant some seeds.

Fools live for today. They eat all they make and make just enough to eat.

Wise people live for tomorrow. They plant some seeds to guarantee tomorrow’s harvest.

Be wise, plant some seeds.

#ThisWeek
Some important seeds:

1. Prayer/meditation.
2. Saving/Investing.
3. Reading/education.
4. Spending time with your kids/family instead of friends.
5. Helping your kids with their school work.
6. Giving to those in need.
7. Eating healthy/exercising.

This Week: Set ONE big goal for 2020.

I have found that the biggest catalyst in my life has been a single-minded focus on ONE big goal per year.

What's the ONE goal that will make the most difference in your life if you pursue it actively next year?

That's your big 2020 goal.
You can't play football with two balls.

What's the ONE big goal that will move your life forward?

1. Make it your 2020 goal.
2. Write that goal on a wall in your room.
3. Make it your screensaver.
4. Pursue it actively.
5. Check your progress monthly.

Start building your emergency fund (a THREAD)

Your emergency fund is 3X your monthly expenses. If you spend $1000 a month, your emergency fund is $3000.

Your emergency fund will help you survive life's uncertainties without needing a loan.

#ThisWeek
Save aggressively (30 - 60% of your income) until you have 3 months living expenses.

Emergencies happen: prepare before it does.

Simple emergency fund plan:
1. Save it.
2. Keep it in a low risk investment.
3. Spend it ONLY on emergencies.
4. Replace it after using it.
Emergencies:
1. Job loss.
2. Car malfunction.
3. Sickness.
4. Accidents

Non emergencies:
1. Food & drinks
2. Rent (you should have a separate savings plan for your rent.
3. Parties
4. Tuition (separate savings plan).
5. Living expenses.

Don't touch it unless it's an emergency

Build your personal brand.

Perception is reality.

People who build their personal brands become "experts"/authorities in their fields.

That perception of expertise enables them to earn more.

Learn more about your field and brand yourself as its expert.

How to build a personal brand.

1. Read more - readers know more.

So I am building a FREE solution to the problem. It will go live in Q4 2019.

What are you building?
I will give $100 to the most compelling one-week product at the end of the week.

To win:
1. Post a picture of your BEFORE by midnight on Monday.
2. Reply to the same picture with your AFTER picture by midnight on Saturday.

I will announce the winner on Sunday.

Oops! Giuliani: "I know collusion's not a crime, right? It was over with by the time of the election." Really. Rudy just admitted the Trump campaign's conspiracy with Russia EXISTED AND ENDED before the election. #MAGA #ThisWeek #Mueller #TrumpRussia
!Giuliani discussed a pardon w/ Cohen's lawyers: "I told his lawyers there'll be no discussion of a pardon. That doesn't mean he doesn't have the power…BUT DO NOT CONSIDER IT IN YOUR THINKING NOW. It has nothing to do w/what you should decide for yourself"
Q: Did Roger Stone give Trump a heads-up on Wikileaks leaks?
Giuliani: No he didn't. Not at all. Uh I don't believe so. But if he did, that's not a crime. It's like giving him a heads-up that the Times was going to print something. #Mueller #TrumpRussia
