I was able to develop a writers SuperPrompt with ChatGPT - The prompt is able to analyze your stories in a very thorough way. You could use this prompt in a couple of ways I will run through some use cases in this thread #AI #writing #author #promptenginering #ChatGPT
One you can glean valuable insight into your writing. Secondly and this is a kicker. You can get ChatGPT to write in your own style by giving it a simple premise and develop ideas within your own personal story universe.
I also believe you could run the analysis by ChatGPT and ask it to give you writing coaching based on the analysis. Something that can be very valuable for you as a writer. In fact you can make it your personal writing coach, helping with your weaknesses and developing strenghts

I highly recommend #LynnKurland's novels, in particular, her #dePiaget and #MacLeod series. Here's the kicker, the two series have a lot of crossovers, too!

What is the genre of the two series? It depends on the novel.

#Reading
(2/7) 1. The most common is #romance and #romantic (the romantic “genre” isn't necessarily romance per se). Now, we are not talking about romance as most people assume, a girl is head over hills on a hunk guy who is a secret villain or a vampire. (aside: Nothing wrong with it.)
(3/7) 2. #TimeTravel
3. #Historical
4. #Paranormal
5. #Fantasy

There is also a touch of #family and #relationships here and there.

The first book I've read was #DreamsOfStardust. It was so good, I bought every copy of it I saw, and gave away for free to friends and colleagues.

📢TEN TIPS to help you find your voice as a writer📢

1. Discovering your writing voice takes time and practice. Don't be afraid to experiment and try new things.

#writingtips #WritingCommunity #creativity
2. Read widely and often to find inspiration for your own writing style. Never copy someone else's style, but learn from other writers to figure out what you like.

3. Tailor your voice to what you're writing. A contemporary thriller written as ancient Greek sophist probably won't work. But there are no rules and you never know until you try...

CREATING CHARACTERS - Ten tips for writers who want great characters.

1. Characters are the heart of your story. Take time to get to know them as if they were real people. Where did they come from? What motivates them? What do they want? What do they need?

#writingtips
2. Make your characters memorable and different. You can do this by giving your character a distinctive:
*backstory
*speech pattern
*motivation
*responses
*behaviour
*personality
*perspective.

3. How many perfect people do you know? Don't be afraid to make your characters flawed. Perfection can be dull. Give your characters imperfections that make them relatable and interesting.

Build only what needs to be built

This is one of the most common mistakes people seem to make when jumping into Tana (or other similarly powerful tools)

You don't need to start with a fully built out, high-modernist, top-down system. Start small! 🧵
I've been using Tana every day for over 90 days now – and I'm still building my systems.

Sure, you could take that and say "see, Tana isn't for getting work done – it's a hobby for people who like to fiddle with their systems!"

But that's not the case. At all.
Instead, I've opted from the get-go to only build the minimum of systems that I need _right that moment_.

Just the bare necessities to get the job done I'm working on right now.

Nothing more.

40 Deep #SEO Insights for 2023:

-In 2022, I told to focus on Natural Language Generation, and it happened.
-In 2023, F-O-C-U-S on "Information Density, Richness, and Unique Added Value" with Microsemantics.

I call the collection of these, "Information Responsiveness".

1. PageRank Increases its Prominence for Weighting Sources

Reason: #AI and automation will bloat the web, and the real authority signals will come from PageRank, and Exogenous Factors.

The expert-like AI content and real expertise are differentiated with historical consistency.
2. Indexing and relevance thresholds will increase.

Reason: A bloated web creates the need for unique value to be added to the web with real-world expertise and organizational signals. The knowledge domain terms, or #PageRank, will be important in the future of a web source.

“What did I like? Having grown up in the 1950s this book really grabbed me. Having two bases in the town made it a good chance that a girl would run into boys from military families at some time or another. I happen to have had four boyfriends. Four because they moved so often.
Most of them were transferred after their dad’s had finished training. Two of them shared a lot of the things that went on at home and one of them was so close to Dave’s life!” - DD Gott - Donadees Corner @williamAGlass3

It brings back so many memories for those of us who grew up during these turbulent years. This novel should be considered historically correct fiction.
The language is occasionally raucous, but so characteristic of the time that it wouldn't seem correct without it. Try it - I think you will like it; especially if you grew up during this era.” – Rosanna B.

1/ Self publishing vs other options.

Let's get one thing out of the way.

You should publish once with a mainstream publisher. Get it out of the system. You should sell a title on Amazon. Make it to your genre, subject top 10 list. Even hit the numero uno spot for a day.
2/ But once you are done, you are done.

It doesn't matter who your publisher, distributor or book seller is. In the end you, the author, sells the book.

You create the hype, you generate the traffic, you direct the buyers.

Amazon doesn't get people to your book, you do
3/ So if you are writing the book, editing it, marketing it, promoting it, how much of the book proceeds do you get?

Do you get to talk or see or engage with your customers? Do you even know who they are?

With main stream publishing, no. There is no data, real time or otherwise

I am an #author and #POC that was educated in a system that, even within its creative and artistic spheres, taught a very specific voice and style that is in some ways useful, but whose dogma is mostly held up by whiteness.

So, I have some feelings about "own voices."
I think it's nice that society is waking up (my colonized self included) to the effort that POC put in every day to "fit in" and not have to have to struggle in public spaces for being themselves.
I remember as a kid how much I wish I had an American name because it would stop the other kids from making fun of me... as if it was about my name.

As someone who is trying to re-discover the Cambodian heritage that I was taught to leave behind to "fit in," fuck that.
