Eye contact. Eye contact doesnāt make you a better person. It doesnāt make you honest or calm or kind. Eye contact isnāt culturally consistently polite. It doesnāt indicate mental health or connection. Ask my blind friends who do both those things just fine. Stop chasing my eyes.
Socializing with small talk, parties, vaguely, in groups of three or more, about the weather, in order to ascertain social hierarchy, w/ nonconsensual touch is not qualitatively better than connection through parallel play, infodumping, monologue, shared interests, time, or art.

thereās a few things I thought were important to talk about that me and other advocates in the community have been discussing. It seems that in this community if you do one thing wrong then thereās nothing you can do to stop people coming after you despite apologising
and publicly and learning from what you did wrong. Itās almost as if you get bullied and chased out of the community and thereās no recovering from if as people wonāt let you. That isnāt okay. It pushes people out of the community and isolated them.
Whoever invented dressing up for world book day was not a working parent. I have SEWED a dress at 7am, found&lost again red hairband x 3, one autistic meltdown due to non matching top/bottoms and I feel about to have a stroke. #WorldBookDay
As a consumer of thousands of books I am a massive book fan and in fact #WorldBookDay is a lovely idea to raise awareness of reading, although I imagine thatās what schools do anyway? Reading?
Massive parental social media contest into who got the best outfit. Kids bewildered. Wonder if the creator of world book day got home from work at 10pm last night after 14 hours.
