FOURTEEN DAYS of wasted Daily Mail front page headlines

Paul Dacre must be proud.

@LBC #bbcaq
@LBC Please do take a moment to think of Dan Hodges on this most difficult of days

@LBC #bbcaq #Beergate

*Actually, it was almost two weeks' worth of Daily Mail front pages and a Mail on Sunday, but you get the point.

Johnson's "tough" sanctions:

"5 Russian banks" & "3 Russian individuals" (not Putin)

What an utterly risible response to Putin's invasion of a sovereign state

You may now ask yourself if the £mns the Tory party receives from Putin's cronies is reflected here

Remember: because we held all the cards, they needed us more than we needed them, and the genius move of keeping no deal on the table as "no deal is better than a bad deal'", whatever Johnson brought back from Brussels was the best Brexit deal possible.

So what did we win?
More on the issue that was, according to Brextremists and even @bbcnews, so emblematic of the importance of "sovereignty" to #BrexitBritain - fishing.

"We have been sold a basket of stinking mackerel, and red herrings"

Boris Johnson's #Covid19 response is a study in "dither and delay".

"Britain was given a head start to tackle the coronavirus as it spread through other countries.

Much of that time has been wasted"

@LBC #c4news #bbcaq #Newsnight

All 'journalists' who repeatedly told us Boris Johnson was "following the science", even tho' his actions contradicted those of almost every other nation, & criticism of him was biased & insincere:

You were wrong, & 1000s will now likely die because of it

@bernardjenkin on #bbcwato says the British constitution has 2 principles of democracy: representative (parliament) and direct (referendums). I wasn't aware referendums were enshrined in the British constitution
@bernardjenkin If British politics is really heading towards making direct democracy a counterbalance to Parliament ("people v MPs"), I'd have thought there ought to be rules about how that works.

For example, if direct democracy is / is to be an integral part of the constitution, then …

1. How are referendums/people's votes established? If only by Parliament, that doesn't really do the counterbalancing trick. So something like 500,000 signatures?

2. Should there be any checks and balances to 1. above?

It takes a brave non-lawyer to disagree mildly, let alone strongly, with a legal interpretation by the country's top lawyers.

Disagree is not the same as dislike.
Johnson now complains about people frustrating Brexit. Is that admission of the motive of the prorogation (that turns out not to have been a prorogation)?

Sajid Javid says prorogation of parliament would be "trashing democracy"

@lbc #c4news #newsnight #r4today

In June 2019 Amber Rudd said Boris Johnson proroguing parliament would be outrageous and ridiculous

@lbc #c4news #Newsnight #r4today #bbcpm #PoliticsLive #bbcaq

And here's secretary of state for health and Johnson lickspittle, Matt Hancock, saying prorogation would go against "everything that those men who waded onto those beaches fought and died for"

THREAD ‘Should the NHS fund social egg freezing for women aged 30-35? As an active researcher with multiple papers published on this topic I would say no for EIGHT reasons. Here we go... #bbcwato
1) Such a move would put further undue responsibility on women for ensuring appropriately timed conception and where there is ‘responsibility’ there is always BLAME!
2) It puts assumedly HEALTHY women through the (not risk or pain free) process of IVF potentially unnecessarily #medicalisation #bbcwato

It's a criminal offence to falsifying a legal instrument. But if the #MetPolice / #LBRUT do it, then there is not even an investigation. 12 years of silence. Evidence to prove it - ukcoverup.com/search-warrant-

Welcome to the #Metpolice who also changed & falsified my arrest details. Have a look at the evidence here ukcoverup.com/arrest-details as it's all easy to prove & that's why it's never addressed
