Build only what needs to be built

This is one of the most common mistakes people seem to make when jumping into Tana (or other similarly powerful tools)

You don't need to start with a fully built out, high-modernist, top-down system. Start small! 🧵
I've been using Tana every day for over 90 days now – and I'm still building my systems.

Sure, you could take that and say "see, Tana isn't for getting work done – it's a hobby for people who like to fiddle with their systems!"

But that's not the case. At all.
Instead, I've opted from the get-go to only build the minimum of systems that I need _right that moment_.

Just the bare necessities to get the job done I'm working on right now.

Nothing more.

#ZeroToOne by is a must-read for anyone looking to build a successful business. Here are ten key takeaways from the book:

The concept of "#monopoly" - It's not about being the biggest player in the market, it's about creating a new market and being the only player in it.
The power of "definite #optimism" - Instead of shooting for incremental improvements, aim for a 10x increase in value. #peterthiel
The importance of "#secrets" - The most valuable businesses are built on secrets that are hidden from the #competition.

#UnpopularOpinion: Some product teams like to prioritize their budgets for the solution rather than researching more into the problem. However without proper UX research, any solutions will be incomplete.

Let us talk about some ways to master "UX Research On Budget" in 3 steps!
Step 1 - List out assumptions and confirm them!

Whatever assumptions you may have about the users, list them out. Your assumptions may not be necessarily true, but it is safer to write them down on paper and get a better understanding of your assumptions of the user.
#koruux #ux
Step 2 - Make use of customer support data

Customer support teams have way more insights than you would imagine. They are the ones interacting with the users regularly and if this is documented, you have your raw user data ready to analyze.

Psychology in Design 🧠

YES, YES, We know what you are thinking, Psychology? Really? That’s what we bring for the first time a threaded story. Duh! But you never know which psychology we use behind coming up with this. Fascinating? Isn’t it?

Design isn't solely what you & your customers see. It conjointly concerns what they feel & that is what inspires them to create a procurement. The association between design & psychology will subtly influence your audience and increase your sales.

#Psychology #productdesign
There’s an exact method your customers follow while reading your web site. If you observe the way they read your content and using that strategically design around it — you'll be able to encourage further interactions (and ultimately, additional sales).

You Can't Create Desire In Your Target Customer.

I saw an ad for skill acquisition last week, and it read, "Why not use the money you spend on clubbing and eating to get a skill that will help you."

Not quoting, but very similar.
👇🏾
This is a wrong move because it doesn't understand marketing. See this:

Your target customer may ordinarily like clubbing and eating.

You can't create a new desire for skills but you can stir up a desire already resident in them.

"The Desire To Have Fun"
If they make money..
from their skills, they will be able to have fun.

Another desire may be "The Desire To Feel Among"

If they imbibe skills, people will respect them and seek their approval.

So..

You can't create desire in people; you can only channel already existing desires to your product.

A thought strikes me browsing through the never ending online catalog of Apparel, that Apparel shopping is so much different than other type of shopping. Wouldn't it be great to swipe right & left like Tinder to be selective for first few minutes that will filter through the
catalog incrementally (ai) in real time. In the real world this is called window shopping!
Bombarding with XXXX numbers of items and tons of filters in the catalog is a complete disgrace to Hick's Law.

How to Use Features vs Benefits to Generate More Sales

#Thread

1<
Product descriptions will make or break whether or not a customer wants to buy from you.

It’s very common for businesses to write boring and generic descriptions without realizing their importance.
2<
This results in missing out on #sales

But, if you take your time to write powerful product descriptions, you can look forward to a better #Conversion rate
3<
What are #product features?
Product features are factual pieces of information about what you sell. Think sizing, color, fabric, or dimensions.

These are the details that make up a #product, and sure, they have to be stated.

A #data informed look at how the #human experience of #lawyering has changed over time.

Just as #clients need better #value propositions, #law firms need better business models. Meaningful #legal #transformation will occur where the two intersect.

Another reaction to this @wihender post: we NEED to deal with #automation anxiety in #legal.

Legacy models of law practice aren’t built for the pace of #business and volume of #information of the #digital age.

More #hours from more #lawyers can’t be the default answer.
