My favourite ExMuslim @YasMohammedxx has a message for you. Share your stories of #Islamotrauma for the world to see why our fear of Islam is rational and rooted in our subjugation, oppression and abuse. #LetUsTalk Image
As an #ExMuslim, I can never go back to Iran because the government could put me in jail indefinitely or hang me for the simply saying I don’t believe in Islam or God. There’s no going back on your religion in Iran. You’re born a Muslim, you die a Muslim. Literally. #Islamotrauma
I can’t dance or sing under the Islamic regime. I can’t be a judge or the president. I can’t get a divorce, except in extremely dire situations, and I can’t have 2 husbands but my husband can have 4 permanent wives and 99 temporary ones. #Islamotrauma

Because I am tired of my identity being erased. Because I can’t ever go back to Iran. Because I would be murdered for not wearing hijab. Because the Islamic Regime could imprison/ hang me for stating I don’t believe in Islam. /1 #Islamotrauama #LetUsTalk #ExMuslim
Because I was born into it and never given a choice. Because everyone assumes automatically that I still believe Islam is the only true path to heaven, and therefore believe I am half a man as preached by Islam. Because a man practically owns me/2 #Islamotraums #ExMuslim
if I don’t state openly and clearly that I am not a Muslim. Because I don’t feel safe. Because I deserve to feel safe. Because people like you enjoy erasing my experiences/ trauma as a born Muslim. Because Islam doesn’t give me a choice and I reclaim it./3 #ExMuslim #Islamotrauma

I know there are many #exmuslims who have realised that they made the wrong decision but they hesitate to admit it due to peer pressure.
Think about your eternal life
& always remember that Allah is All-Forgiving
Youtube is filled with stories of people who came back to #Islam
These people probably left fot the same reasons you did but they realised they made the wrong decision and valued their eternal life over this short life
If Islam was a clearly false religion you wouldn't have many people reverting back to Islam ! You wouldn't find Muslims in Twitter going with confidence to challenge the #exmuslims arguments head-on

@Vichaar_Manthan - kudos to you, and mainly to Drishti Mae (@Drishtii_ ), for this thoughtful conversation on her journey from Islam to the Hindu tradition 🙏🏼

Though raised in a relatively moderate Muslim family in the UK, Mae said she was raised with constant fear of hell, a hatred for Hindus, and a whole bunch of other mysogynistic, patriarchal ideas that she could not question without being pushed back or punished.
Being a brave, intelligent, and persistent lady she found a way out. While learning about Greek and Hindu philosophies, the Hindu tradition resonated with her due to its pluralism and the nuanced spiritual guidance it offers while encouraging questions.

So I said im gonna refute and expose the book #unveiled by the Islamophobe #ExMuslim Yasmine Mohammed @YasMohammedxx

The book is written in a way such that the avg non muslim ppl with negetive biases against Islam will get emotionally attached with it & then fall in her trap Image
@YasMohammedxx I left the first four article from the book bc she basically showed how evil here Muslim Parents were, mostly about her Mother..... so ill come to those things later

But what i read afterwards was just unbelievable, I thought im basically refuting the ideology of #ISIS
@YasMohammedxx The chapter she started with criticizing the beliefs is by the title JEWS

and honestly what she did was she basically vomits the #Antisemitism in the name of "Islamic belief"

Now the problem is the avg non muslims or right wing extremist can easily be fell for such thing ...

1/ We've seen many posts by Muslims asking why #ExMuslims keep talking about Islam. So we wrote this thread to address the misconceptions around #ExMuslims.

The next time someone asks this question, point them here.

2/ "You've left Islam, so why keep talking about it? Why not just move on with your life?"

This one is common. The short answer is: many of us would love to move on with our lives. Only we can't because the people around us won't let us
3/ For us in Muslim communities, we're surrounded by Islam.

Our friends are Muslim, our families are Muslim, some of us are even married to Muslims. Coming out means telling people we care about. Depending on the community, we could get ostracized completely or physically harmed
