Your gut microbiome is responsible for your health.

PS: RT this & I'll DM a code to try our brand new groundbreaking 'Smart probiotic' backed by 380 clinical studies, (limited supply)
Our gut microbiome is key to our digestion

I'm sure you know that much, but it's emerged in recent years that it does so much more.

At my company, Heights, we've spent 2.5 years researching the 3 high impact areas it can improve:

Digestion
Immunity
Mental Health.

Here's how:
Your gut contains billions of bacteria - they all have certain jobs to do.

Some will help your skin glow, some your nails, most make sure your gut breaks down food well so your whole body system is firing on all cylinders, turning nutrients from food into energy for life...

Therapist Tip 👉🏻The Power of 'NO': the word "no" is a 'boundary'. It is a word that establishes or defines the space between you & someone else. It demands respect & is supposed to be learnt learnt through childhood development. It is a universal cue that people use #boundaries
to let others know that you are not OK about something. Boundaries are designed to keep you safe &/or establish ground rules for the relationship. One of the earliest indicators of #RedFlags in toxic people/relationships is a lack of Respect/empathy for the word "no" #SafetyFirst
This lack of respect is an 'indicator' that someone has a character/personality problem &/or flaw. If a person in your life refuses to listen or respect your "no", you may need help because you now have a 'relational' problem

Just completed the 21 day #habits challenge, inspired by @hubermanlab.

A group of 6 friends went for it. Each picked 6 Habits.

4 hit most days. 2 didn't.

Insights below:
We based our challenge on this video:

- Every habit at least once every 2 days.
- Every day at least 4 habits out of 6
- no punishment if you fail a day
- If you miss tracking for 2 consecutive days you are out of the challenge
Results: 8 people started, 2 stopped tracking. We checked in via spreadsheet + whatsapp

Results for me:
- did 11 sessions of cardio (will stick to it)
- Prioritized sales for @Pairingdev - which was my primary goal
- Started Journaling every day
- Gained 3kg 😮, gym 10 sessions

15 Effective Ways Clever People Handle Toxic People

|Thread
1. They ignore attention seekers

Often toxic people compulsively seek attention at all costs. If this is the case, the best course of action is to pay little or no attention to that person, and instead spend more time with the quieter and more reserved members of the group.
2. They do not trust or share secrets with gossipers

They will share deep secrets with people and they will frequently judge or gossip about people behind their backs. It’s a divisive and manipulative method of gaining friends or power in a social group. Do not take the bait.

Accept the #now. When you accept life as it unfolds, offering no resistance, you become aware of the choices available in this moment. This doesn’t imply giving up desires or being a victim, but discovering the #freedom to respond creatively.

Accept the signals of your #body. Feel all of your body’s sensations. While the #mind lives in the past and the future, the body resides in the #now and never doubts itself. It knows the #truth and will guide you towards the most evolutionary choices.
Accept #responsibility and commit. With deepened awareness, you can make new choices, let go of #habits that no longer serve you, and commit to taking the next step to achieve your dreams

1/ #MUSTREAD for a better life in our #COVID world.

In my last #kitchentableconvo I shared how I nearly lost my mind when I couldn’t find a particular small frying pan the day after my move.

#pandemic #habits @nytimes
2/ Rather than simply figuring out another breakfast or using another pan, I spent the entire day unpacking boxes (and not eating) in search for that pan, so that I could eat breakfast! I went to bed miserable, cranky and hungry; having eaten only one meal that day at about 7pm.
3/ The next day, I continued to search for that pan in the hope that I could use it to cook my favorite breakfast. Didn’t find it. And didn’t eat breakfast until 3pm. 🤦🏾‍♀️

A thread on #Habit formation from @shrayasr's on #running: hasgeek.com/kilter/run-run… (1/15)
@shrayasr Your sense of motivation has to be anchored into a purpose. Therefore, clarify why are you taking up a habit. Get your intention right. (2/15)
@shrayasr Start small. Repetition is at the heart of habit bulding. It is only when you repeat that your body and your mind starts recognizing the activity and adapts to repetition. Do it until your habit activity is second nature. (3/15)

The seeds require to be nurtured with love and care for no less than 5 years without showing any results. The first 4 years solely consist of nurturing & tending with NO SIGNS OF GROWTH. But the farmer goes about his job out of habit .+

In the 5 th yr all of a sudden it begins its exponential growth & shoots to over 90ft in just 6 weeks.
Miraculous , ain't it? 🙂
The farmer tends without knowing the outcome every single day with the same amount of love & concern .He never gives up. He keeps his habit.

I have been writing about habits for a while. Naturally, I have got many questions about what are the most important habits for lawyers to cultivate. I think this is a very important question.

I have been studying successful lawyers for a while, through my interviews on Superlawyer, or when I interview successful lawyers on our Legal Practice Management Course on what led to their success.
We also have a lot of such events at LawSikho office with top lawyers, clips of which interactions you can watch on the LawSikho YouTube channel here.

Concerned about the habit gaps in your life and career?

Want to build a habit? Great.

Want to kill a habit that has been slowing you down or harming you? Great.

#career #law #eLearning #lawsikho #habits
You need to understand how habit gets created and how they are perpetuated once the behavior is learned at the level of a habit.

It all starts with some kind of awareness.

Let’s say it’s a cigarette addiction. How is it going to start? I can speak from personal experience.
The first trigger is the awareness and the universal availability of cigarettes. Being aware of the existence of cigarettes is easy. Everyone knows. Cigarette companies make sure of that, through all sorts of promotional activities.

1/ Is willpower myth or muscle? Using eating & #dieting as an example, let’s discuss the science behind #willpower, when willpower fails, and what we can learn from all of this to help us break bad #habits. A long thread, but follow along to learn why willpower is really a myth.
2/ If you're a #primarycare provider trying to help patients lose weight, a #nutritionist trying to get someone to stick to a healthy #diet, or simply trying to eat better yourself: Do you ever feel frustrated, helpless or like a failure in changing #habits?
3/ Why is habit change so hard? Have we not come up with the perfect strategy? Do we simply need more #willpower (or a kick in the pants)?

For years you’ve been told that willpower is the 🔑 to breaking bad habits… but what if I told you that science says otherwise?
