Indeed, I got #COVID19 🤒My symptoms were high fever, short breadth, cough, and tiredness. Luckily it was not too bad, I have no other conditions, so I healed at home in 2 weeks. I am completely fine now, so don't worry!😊These things, above all, helped with my healing:
(1 ~ 5)
(2~ 5)1⃣#Paracetamol kept my fever under control. I avoided #Ibuprofen as a matter of precaution as there were some concerns spreading. Not sure they were scientifically supported, but Paracetamol was good enough for me so I sticked to that,
(3~ 5)2⃣For the breathing I bought an #aerosol nebulizer on #Amazon and inhaled saline solutions twice a day (shipped from Germany, as in the UK a prescription is needed). I also took cough suppressant syrup, and drank A LOT of hot liquids (ginger and lemon🍋).

For those following the confusion around #ibuprofen: @ScienceMagazine just published a letter. It’s a bit technical, but bottom line: "People taking NSAIDs for other reasons should not stop doing so for fear of increasing their #COVID19 risk.” h/t @hholdenthorp
@ScienceMagazine @hholdenthorp So: "until we have robust evidence, patients in chronic pain should continue to take their NSAIDs rather than turn to opiates.”
And: "Patients on ACE inhibitors should continue to take them rather than risk complications, such as stroke.”
science.sciencemag.org/content/early/…
@ScienceMagazine @hholdenthorp This is also @WHO advice. Spokesperson told me today: “At present, based on currently available information, WHO does not recommend against the use of ibuprofen.” So everyone take a deep breath and keep taking your meds. Update if and when anything changes.

1. @WHO @TheLancet My thought about #Ibuprofen is its tendency to thin blood. Imagine an 80 year old coughing hard for two weeks. Like going a round of boxing. Internal bleeds add up and thinner makes it unstoppable. Would you recommend it pre-op? I don't think so.
2. It's not the noninflammatory NSAID mechanism. Just the bleeding side-effect that triggers all the d-dimer elevations. Look at the charts if they had work up at admission. Ask family. I think aspirin or heparin would be the same. Maybe a lot worse. @cnn @MSNBC @DefenseIntel

1. My update on the comment Italy has young people becoming very ill. It's my understanding #Ibuprofen may also cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, which can be fatal. These conditions can occur without warning while you are using ibuprofen, especially in older adults.
2. The mortality data recently shows the presence of the d-dimer protein that is tested in cases of #DVT #bloodclots. The people who die show it elevated. Ones who survive don't. I think @CDCemergency @MassGeneralNews and other researchers need to determine if the organ failures
3. are being caused or exacerbated by blood thinning medications that may, in cases of of treating #COVID19 be taken by the public self-medicating over-the-counter #Ibuprofen as part of a treatment course. If there has been any more data feel free to post. @TheLancet @CDCgov
