to their former Palestinian owners, Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported yesterday. Palestinian farmers were allowed to return to their farms on 28 December in the village of Bardala in the Al-Qa'oun valley, in the northern Jordan Valley.
The Emirati news website Al-Ein said, according to Al-Quds Al-Arabi, that the UAE was behind the return of this land to the Palestinians.
Yesterday, #Israeli authorities carried out a massive #demolition in the village of Khirbet Homsa in the northern region of the #JordanValley, leaving eleven families—a total of 74 people, most of whom are #children—houseless.
The #military brought six bulldozers to the small enclave, demolishing #homes, barns, tents, restrooms, #water tanks, #solar panels, and more. This huge act of destruction is clearly even more dramatic than the already cruel daily #demolitions and confiscations, as it wiped out
all of the major #resources belonging to many people at once. A perfect illustration of the devastation Israel’s #demolition policies have made this year alone, this instance shows the level of devastation demolitions leave in the most vulnerable #Palestinian communities.

I congratulate the plan's authors for injecting some realism into conventional views of this conflict. It is realistic for the Jordan River to be Israel's security barrier. It is realistic for hundreds of thousands of Israelis in West Bank not to be forced to relocate. 2/11
But they took those & other principles and stretched them beyond all recognition. #Israeli security control of #JordanValley became full sovereignty; not uprooting hundreds of thousands of settlers became not uprooting even 1 settler. There are no Solomonic judgments here. 3/11
