I am proud to live in a community that respects people in all their glorious diversity, even as I am troubled by those (much smaller, but louder) voices who's own hatred is putting our public safety at risk. Thank you @DGLibrary. A few quick thoughts:
1/ If you feel threatened by seeing a man in women's clothes, reflect a bit before you post. Does a woman in pants make you uncomfortable? It's just clothes after all.
2/ James Baldwin famously said that the purpose of education is to question, to make your own decisions. And that while society is always uncomfortable with non-conformity, it is the only way society progresses. This tension is not new.
As our Republican TX Governor continues to show his disdain for Latino immigrant families, @POTUS is working to ensure more baby formula on grocery shelves across the country. #LeadwithLove

A few thoughts on 9/11, and our current moment. Thread:
1/ I grew up in the NYC suburbs in the 1980s. I wasn't living there in 2001, but still had lots of friends and family in the area.
2/ A good family friend was on flight 93. He was, among other things a pilot. We'd like to believe he had some heroic role in those final moments given his training.

@TulsiGabbard was referring to this one incident only: at a fundraiser in New York on Tuesday night June 18, 2019, Biden tried to back up his claim that one of his greatest strengths was to “bring people together.” 1/
Biden then used an extreme example of people with whom he had major disagreements but still “#GotThingsDone” within the Senate. But today DEM and GOP Become enemies. 2/
