All world of free people, just so you know, this thing called American #libertarianism is lie. Even Russian libertarians hate them. They are fascists who like their property. That’s it.
They are collection of racist, antisemitic, homophobic men who hate own country they live in while they enjoy freedom of hating it openly. Since they don’t ever know real suffering, they create of themselves victims of everyone but their own choices.
They see in Russian aggression mirror that gives them hope of their own failures. I never see so many men demand that men are men while promoting rape and murder of women in country they know nothing about. Don’t let this title of #libertarian confuse you.

.@billmaher starts off with Colorado Governor @jaredpolis who espouses more #freedom and lower #taxes, a winning combination in my mind and a massive outlier in the Democratic Party. He was also more hands-off during #COVID than other leaders...

On @RealTimers
.@jaredpolis believes parents, not government, should be making the decisions for how closely to monitor your children. Refreshing! On @RealTimers w/@billmaher...
.@jaredpolis explains how his beliefs are similar to #libertarianism and gives a nod to his former colleague in the #Liberty Caucus, @justinamash.

when #Bitcoin #cryptocurrency promoters right now talk about the "freedom to transact," they are expressing the single core "political science" version of #fascism: free markets uber alles newrepublic.com/article/165559…
historically, #fascism deceptively uses economic liberalism (ie unregulated free markets) as a replacement for & rebuke of political liberalism (ie democracy).

it opposes any encroachment of the latter on the terrain of the former--ie anywhere.

see amzn.to/3IRDFic
because it opposes democracy tout court. that's #fascism's core commitment: democracy is evil.

anytime someone talks about government being evil, or "organized crime," it's important to remember this about fascism.

Had a brain wave / brain fart today - Don't know which?!

Recently re-read x2 #books that seem pretty consequential to modern day news cycles 📚

- #JohnPerkins #ConfessionsOfAnEconomicHitman

- #BillBrowder #RedNotice

Both began their careers for #Boston based consulting co's
#Boston #USA is part of that #IvyLeague playground 🧐

#MIT & #Harvard are in close proximity - Like #Oxford & #Cambridge in the UK (those prestigious institutions also synonymous with producing spy's & leaders)!

Perkins worked for #ChasTMain
Browder for #BostonConsultingGroup
If you look at geo-political history from 1980's - today... These two fella's have really played their part!!

Both books are great by the way... well worth a read!

- #JohnPerkins = #SouthAmerica & #CentralAmerica
- #BillBrowder = #US #Russia #UK #EU ... possibly the world!? 🌐

American #libertarianism is sort of a mixed bag. A lot of male libertarians are very naïve about social reality, placing personal responsibility above everything else. They seem to take wealth concentration in the top 1% for granted, not realizing the complex reasons behind it.
Yet tons of people are born into poverty with almost no way out, particularly blacks in the ghettos and Native Americans in reservations. Yes, inequality is inevitable in any society, but it's morally irresponsible not to give a damn about it.
It's true that they tend to be far less #transphobic than social conservatives, but many of them judge trans women by "fuckability", which, needless to say, is #sexist. And many of them have an I-know-it-all mindset. Eric S. Raymond, father of "open source", is an archetype.
