🚨The GOP supermajority came out with their 1st piece of legislation the day after election. The bill that was burning their fingers it was so important to TN families. Did they expand Medicaid? Address inflation? Solve the DCS crisis? No, they made #DragShows a felony. #NoHate
My team and I knocked 1,000’s of doors and made 1,000’s of calls for months before the election, not one person told us the problem the state needs to address is #DragShows. NOT ONE!
A lot were concerned about women’s bodily autonomy & access to abortion care. They talked about how much Paid Family Leave would help their family. They talked about being adamantly opposed to book banning, Charters, and vouchers. But no one said #DragShows presented a concern.
@RahulGandhi posted welcome tweets that had “neutral” twitter & journalists salivating as “this is leader we need”. Words mean nothing if it doesnt translate to actions. This thread highlights contrast between words and their governance in CG (my home state). Full majority/power.

Comment on how BJP is creating hate factory. In Raipur, capital city, former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh's son Abhishek Singh. "Jab Kat*e kaate jaayenge Ram Ram Chillaayenge" slogan is raised. No NSA and UAPA by police, he is not jailed.
The GOP, Trump, Jr., and others are openly engaging in targeted harassment of Representative @IlhanMN, and I see no evidence of any attempts to stop these precursors of violence. Is there nothing @TheDemocrats, @TheDemCoalition, and @SpeakerPelosi can do? This needs addressing!
