நாரதர் ஒரு சமயம் "கிருஷ்ணா! உங்களுடைய மாயை மிகவும் வலிமை வாய்ந்தது என்று சொல்கிறார்கள்.பிரம்மத்தை (தெய்வத்தை) உணர்ந்த பிரம்மஞானி தேவரிஷியாகிய நானும் மாயையால் பாதிக்கப்படுவேனா?"என்று கேட்டார்.கிருஷ்ணர், நாரதரின் கேள்விக்கு நேரடியாக பதில் சொல்லாமல்,

சற்று தூரத்திலிருந்த ஒரு குளத்தை சுட்டிக்காட்டி,"நாரதரே!அதோ அந்தக் குளத்தில் மூழ்கி எழுந்து வாருங்கள்"என்று கூறினார். கிருஷ்ணர் கூறியபடியே,நாரதர் தன் கையில் இருந்த மகதி என்ற வீணையை,குளக்கரையில் வைத்துவிட்டு,குளத்தில் சென்று மூழ்கி எழுந்தார்.மூழ்கி எழுந்தாரோ இல்லையோ,

அவர் அழகிய இளம் பெண்ணாக மாறியிருந்தார்!தான் நாரதர் என்ற பழைய நினைவுகள் அனைத்தும் அவருக்கு அறவே இல்லாமல் போயிற்று.குளக்கரையில் அவர் வைத்த வீணையும் இல்லை. கிருஷ்ணரும் அங்கு இல்லை.இப்போது நாரதப் பெண்,குளத்தின் படிகளில் ஏறி மேலே வந்து கொண்டிருந்தாள்.அந்த வழியாக அந்த நாட்டு அரசன்,

பராசர பட்டர் என்பவர் ஒருமுறை காட்டுபாதையில் சென்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.திடீரென்று அங்கே ஏதோ ஒரு காட்சியைக் கண்டு மயங்கி விழுந்துவிட்டார்.நெடுநேரம் ஆகியும் பட்டர் வீடு திரும்பாததால் அவரைத் தேடிச்சென்ற சீடர்கள்,அவர் மயங்கிக் கிடப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள்.அவரை மெதுவாக வீட்டுக்கு அழைத்து வந்து

மயக்கம் தெளிவித்தனர். பட்டர் எழுந்தவுடன், “காட்டில் என்ன ஆயிற்று? கொடிய மிருகங்கள் ஏதாவது உங்களைத் தாக்க வந்தனவா? இயற்கைச் சீற்றங்கள் ஏதேனும் ஏற்பட்டனவா?” என்றெல்லாம் வினவினார்கள் சீடர்கள்.ஒன்றுமே இல்லை. நான் ஒரு காட்சியைக் கண்டேன். அதனால் மயங்கி விழுந்துவிட்டேன்"என்றார் பட்டர்.

“என்ன காட்சி?” என்று பதற்றத்துடன் சிஷ்யர்கள் கேட்டார்கள். “ஒரு வேடன் ஒரு முயல்குட்டியைப் பிடித்தான். அதை ஒரு சாக்குப்பையில் மூட்டைக்கட்டி எடுத்துச்சென்றான். இதைக்கண்ட அந்த முயல்குட்டியின் தாய்முயல், அந்த வேடனைத் துரத்திச்சென்று, அவன் கால்களை பிடித்துக்கொண்டு மன்றாடியது.

குருக்ஷேத்திரத்தில்,
பாண்டவர்களுக்கும் கௌரவர்களுக்கும் இடையிலான யுத்தத்தில், ஒன்பது நாள்கள் முடிந்துவிட்டன. "ஒன்பது நாட்கள் கடந்தும் பாண்டவர்களை வீழ்த்த முடியவில்லையே" என்று நினைத்த துரியோதனன், மகாரதராக இருந்த பீஷ்மரிடம், தான் கொண்டிருந்த நம்பிக்கையை இழந்துவிட்டான்.

"பீஷ்மர், பாண்டவர்களை ஒழிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற உறுதியுடன் போரிடவில்லை" என்று நினைத்தான். தன் எண்ணத்தை மிகக் கோபத்துடன் பீஷ்மரிடம் தெரிவித்தான். துரியோதனின் கடுமையைக் கண்ட பீஷ்மரும், அதேக் கடுமையுடன் மறுநாள் போரில் பாண்டவர்களை அடியோடு வீழ்த்துவதாக சபதம் செய்தார்.

ஆனால் துரியோதனனோ, "பாண்டவர்களை வீழ்த்துவேன் என்று சொல்லாதீர்கள். அவர்களை போரில் கொல்வேன் என்று சொல்லுங்கள்" என்றான். செஞ்சோற்றுக் கடனைத் தீர்க்க வேண்டுமே என்பதற்காக பீஷ்மரும், "அப்படியே ஆகட்டும்" என்று கூறிவிட்டார்.

ஒரு மன்னன், தெரியாத்தனமாக ஒரு பிராமணனைக் கொன்றதால், அவரை ‘பிரம்மஹத்தி’ பாவம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது. ஒரு ரிஷியின் ஆஸ்ரமத்துக்குச் சென்று பரிஹாரம் கேட்க முடிவு செய்தார். அங்கே சென்றபோது ரிஷி இல்லை. அவருடைய மகனே இருந்தார். அவரிடம் தான் வந்த காரணத்தை மன்னன் கூறினார்.

அவர் “நானே பரிஹாரம் சொல்கிறேன். பக்தியுடன் மூன்று முறை 'ராம, ராம, ராம' என்று சொல்லுங்கள். அந்தப் பாவம் போய்விடும்” என்றார். இவ்வாறு அவர்கள் உரையாடிக் கொண்டிருந்த தருணத்தில் ரிஷியும் வந்துவிட்டார். என்ன விஷயம் என்பதை அறிந்தார். அவருக்கு மகன் மீது கடும் கோபம் வந்தது.

“அட மூடனே! ஜன்ம ஜன்மாந்தரங்களில் செய்த பாவங்களும், ராமனின் நாமத்தை ஒரு முறை சொன்னாலேயே போய்விடுமே. உனக்கு எப்படி நம்பிக்கை குறைந்து மூன்று முறை சொல்லச் சொன்னாய்? இந்த நம்பிக்கைக் குறைவினால் அடுத்த ஜன்மத்தில் நீ வேடனாகப் பிறப்பாயாக” என்று சபித்தார்.

மஹாலக்ஷ்மி இருக்கும் இடங்களை அறிந்து அவற்றை வழிபட்டால் திருவருளைப் பெறலாம்:

1. திருமால் மார்பு:
திருமகள் திருமாலின் மார்பில் உறைகிறாள். ஆதலின் திருவுறைமார்பன்-ஸ்ரீநிவாசன் என்று திருமாலுக்குப் பெயர். திருமகளின் அருளைப் பெறத் திருமாலையும் வழிபட வேண்டும்.

திருமகளைப் புருஷாகாரம் என்பர். அடியாருக்கு அருள்புரியும்படித் திருமாலைத் தூண்டுபவள் திருமகளே.

2. பசுவின் பின்புறம்:
பசு தேவராலும்,மூவராலும், முத்தேவியராலும் தொழப்பெறும் கோமாதா.காரணம்,பசுவின் உடலில் ஒவ்வொரு பாகத்திலும் ஒரு
தெய்வம் இருப்பதுதான். பசுவின் பின்புறத்தில் மகாலட்சுமி

வாசம் செய்கிறாள். காலையில் எழுந்ததும் காணத்தக்கவற்றுள் பசுவின் பின் பக்கமும் ஒன்று. அருகம்புல்லைப் பசுவிற்கு கொடுப்பது 32 வகை அறங்களுள் ஒன்றதாகும். ‘யாவர்க்கும் ஆம் பசுவிற்கு ஒரு வாயிறை’ என்றார் திருமூலர்.

3. யானையின் மத்தகம்:
யானையின் மத்தகம் பிரணவம் போன்றது (ஓங்காரம் போன்றது)
