First, in my estimation there were roughly 30 people in attendance, including members of the public, city government officials, and media. Apart from myself there was no masking. There appeared to me no COVID-19 safety precautions in place, there was space for some distancing

When Jaibhim released many North ambedkarites expressed their anger seeing marx Lenin photos next to Babasaheb and their south counterparts also went berserk in attacking the movie but the movie seemed to be an hit in Tamil cinema touching a very important issue. 1/n
The movie has many communist red flag scenes and one of the very few movies which showed the relentless struggle of a common communit cadre to get justice for the oppressed. The real life comrade Govindan was a vanniyar community person and he stood against his own community 2/n

On Monday, two Good Shepherd Collective members headed to #Ofer #military court & #prison to stand in #solidarity with Sami Huraini of Youth Of Sumud / شباب صمود and his family on the day of his trial.
On Monday, two Good Shepherd Collective members headed to #Ofer #military court & #prison to stand in #solidarity with Sami Huraini of Youth Of Sumud / شباب صمود and his family on the day of his trial.
Although we were unable to join Sami in the #courtroom, we sat with his family and dozens of other #Palestinians awaiting their family members, imprisoned and/or awaiting #prosecution in the #military #court system.
In Sami’s case, his trial was postponed, granting momentary relief despite a continuation of the bail conditions which prevent him from participating in #protests—essentially, keeping him from exercising his most basic right to #free speech and #resistance to #oppression.
