I am here and able to mother my incredible daughter because of the health- and life-saving abortion I had when she was three years old. #YouKnowMe
The decision we had to make was so personal & difficult - the idea of having to *prove* to lawmakers that I would be in danger or sick enough to warrant an abortion is absolutely monstrous.
Again, think about these laws in terms of practical implementation. How sick does a woman need to be in order to have a legal abortion? How high would my blood pressure have to skyrocket? Would my liver have to fail before lawmakers would deem me "in danger"?
