For me, the real issue in the #trans #GRA reform is #maleviolence against #female & trans. I note #transmen seem to be absent from discussion. They obvs don't present as #women so don't use women's spaces. But they can't draw attention to themselves as trans because... (1/2)

Sex is genetic & immutable ie if you produce eggs you're female, males have a y chromosome & produce sperm. Gender is a social construct. Perhaps if we didn't insist on confining humans to particular roles there would be no gender dysphoria & people would be happy in their skin.

Ask yourselves, "Why aren't transwomen attacking male violence?" It's because women and feminism are easier targets than trying to dismantle patriarchy!
Until there is some way of distinguishing between genuine transwomen (used to be called transsexuals) & men wanting to self-id as women for more nefarious reasons (access to vulnerable women; see also #autogynephilia) then women-only spaces & services should remain female only.
