I have read some #projectfear #fakenews about Brexit in my time but this one has immediately entered the Top 5, as I shall explain:

So, the infrastructure is ALREADY THERE - as it has to be because the UK trades with the entire world, not just the EU. We're actually just talking about "extending" our existing facilities; those same facilities which worked perfectly well before we were in the EU.

So we're not starting from scratch, as the Remoaners want you believe. And in any event the need for beefed up facilities only really applies if the UK makes radical changes from the existing regulatory regime applicable to trading with EU countries. In other words...

...we only have a problem on Day 1 if we, for example, set up tariffs and quotas relating to EU countries or immediately decide that EU goods should be subject to different regulations to those applicable to the rest of the world. NONE of this is on the cards.

What therefore is the reality? The reality is that, yes, we might need to improve staffing levels etc OVER TIME but unless the UK suddenly decides to do something radical (which isn't planned) we're not going to lurch into a crisis at our borders.

The border "debate" that has been introduced today is therefore fearmongering and FAKE NEWS.

And one more thing. This is supposed to be a National Audit Office report. The National Audit Office is supposed to look at/after the public purse? And what is this report seemingly SILENT about? The bloody cost!! However, I bet that the cost of attending to ....

...the "nightmare" scenario that @BBCNews etc want the public to panic about (which isn't on the cards anyway, if the UK does simply pull out of the EU) is nothing like the £39 BILLION 'divorce bill' that traitor Theresa May is happy to sign us up to.

The #fakenews that we have to digest these days is kindergarten stuff. For heaven's sake 'journalists' start doing some investigating and present the people with some decent insight.
