A short thread in case anyone’s planning to buy any new #furniture in Boxing Day or New Year #sales. Please don’t remove the fire safety tags from upholstered furniture or beds. 1/3 Furniture fire safety label
So far @TheBHF have been able to generate over £1,000 including Gift Aid from furniture, electricals etc from my mum’s house, which would have pleased her a lot. But they could have made so much more - and more people who need it could’ve got some cheap furniture... 2/3
Far too much just had to go to the dump because they can’t legally and safely sell furniture without fire safety labels. Please keep the labels on your new stuff so you can sell or donate it when you don’t need it any more. And please spread the word. 3/3
