The lines are from a beautiful Sufi Qawaali performed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan- Na To Butkade Ki Talab Mujhe. It formed the basis of the most famous Qawaali in Hindi Cinema in the film Barsaat Ki Raat-1960 by Roshan and Sahir. The original is now banned in Pak where it originated
