I’ve been accused of being “sexist” for choosing to run against @KamalaHarris in 2022. This is my response to those claims;
1) I am a gay, black male who detests identity politics and everything it stands for. I do not want anyone to vote for me on the basis of either factor.

2) I am running against @KamalaHarris because it is my right under the U.S. Constitution. I am a United States citizen, who is a resident of California and I am exactly 30 years old as of this post.

3) Any differences I have with @KamalaHarris will be on the basis of policy as much as possible. That does not mean that my team and I will not hold her accountable. An elected official who should be comfortable with her constituents holding her accountable or she should resign.

4) Pointing out things like @KamalaHarris locked up thousands of black and brown people and journalists have pointed out she c-signed on prosecutorial misconduct is not sexist; it’s facts. If you can’t handle that, then you may not be so different from @realDonaldTrump.

5) Finally, I was raised by strong, black women who instilled in me not only my personality and drives but the desire to give back to others. I am no running against @KamalaHarris to defame her or to deprive black women; they raised me. Any attempt to paint me in a negative...

6) Light for speaking my truth to power and exercising my right to seek an office REGARDLESS of who currently holds it is UnAmerican, and therefore do not be surprised if I answer you once and mute you (I don’t believe in blocking people because it closes doors). I think we...

7) ..Should all agree we are adult enough to debate policy over anything. If we aren’t, then we must ask ourselves the simple question; who has led us to this precipice from whence we cannot return?
