Most Traders see God in the Charts and their few indicators. I see him (or her) in the detailed Option Chains. Except for the opportunistic Option Traders who are in and out of a Trade in 2-3 days, the Option Chains provide far more relevant information than the Charts do
That said, I will use the Charts as an odds enhancer to check that the views provided by both don't contradict one another. One needs to align as many favourable factors to make a good, high Probability Trade.
Future Traders are Trading Price and Price alone. Option Traders should be Trading Price, Time and Volitility- all of which have different levels of importance in different phases of the Trade. Evaluating this is what separates the Pros from the rest
A majority of the Option Traders I have interacted with in India are one dimensional in their Trading. They are essentially Trading Direction and using Options to control Risk. It's a cool way to use Options but there's little reason to limit yourself to this.
