💥💥💥#Mueller: #Russians leaked files to "discredit"? #Concord & #Kavanaugh connection, A thread. 👇
theguardian.com/us-news/2019/j…
1. Note the date: the confidential files with evidence were leaked in October 2018.
2. The Twitter account has been removed. It's old news. There is nothing discrediting to Mueller's investigation in the fact that the Russians stole the files. If anything, it confirms that, yes, Russians hack.
2. The most important point in this article: Mueller's office stated that "attorneys for Concord should not be given access to “sensitive” evidence gathered by Mueller’s team for the case." Note the date of the leak: October 2018.
3. Concord attorneys trolled us before. HERE GOES: On May 14, 2018, they filed a motion to dismiss and proposed dismissal order with the court on which Judge Kavanaugh sat at the moment, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, citing Kavanaugh nine times.
4. In a memo accompanying the motion and proposed order, Kavanaugh was referenced nine times in total, to argue that the charges against Concord should be dropped.
5. Concord, in particular, noted that Kavanaugh warned the government in a 2011 court decision that in order to charge foreigners with violating laws about political contributions, the government first must prove that those foreigners knew that they were breaking the laws.
6. Concord lawyers used the argument that the special counsel lacked any statutory authority to charge the company with conspiracy. Concord lawyers also cited Gorsuch, another Trump’s first Supreme Court pick.
7. On June 8, 2018, lawyers for Concord filed another document, calling special counsel “unlawfully appointed.”
8. On June 27, 2018, Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement. On July 9, 2018, Trump announced that he selected Brett Kavanaugh to become an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States filling the vacancy left by the retirement Kennedy.
9. On October 23, 2018, Special Counsel Robert Mueller pushed back against Concord, “telling a federal judge that the charges filed against the firm — conspiracy to defraud the U.S. — aren’t dependent on proving that election interference is a crime.
10. The prosecutors only need to show that Concord and its alleged co-conspirators agreed to engage in conduct that violated their duties to register as foreign agents and report campaign expenditures."
