1. There is a recurrent trend on the #25thAmendment that I view as likely Russian influence propaganda. I conclude anyone with even minimal understanding of the Constitution knows that removal under the 25th for reasons that would fall under impeachment power is idiotic.

2. To impeach @POTUS @SpeakerPelosi needs ~218 votes presently. She likely has ~230 if current impeachment case was really teed up.
To invoke the 25th, first ~8 misfit toys in Trump Cabinet must grow a spine and @VP Sycophant agree. Then if Trump resists #Pelosi needs 286 votes.

3. So where there is any political resistance to removal, the 25th is much harder than impeachment. The 25th is really for the circumstances of a massive stroke that has the president in a coma. The signed document would likely end it. Congress unlikely to ever meet to vote.

4. A mentally disabled president was among the dangers discussed in Congressional record of 25th Am.

Apparent Trump suffers from mental impairment. It's also painfully clear @SenateGOP @HouseGOP are going to do nothing about it. It's gotten worse and unlikely to end well.

5. So why not just impeach him for #NationalEmergency and #EmolumentsClause? Could pass House in week. Force @senatemajldr McConnell to take it up. 88 Senate votes in play against him on #TheWall. We only need 67 to remove him. Don't wait. We don't have the luxury. @SenSchumer

6. Mueller is doing a counter-intelligence investigation. Such things do no lend themselves to transparency or haste. Mueller's work may proceed and additional articles may be teed up if the grounds arise. @RepJerryNadler @RepAdamSchiff

7. Trump touched the Conservative's third rail. As a liberal, I don't like the wall and agree with @SpeakerPelosi the policy is immoral. But if the GOP lets this theft stand, when @TheDemocrats hold @WhiteHouse, heaven help the right wing. It will be open season on everything. 😎
