For the sake of accuracy the 14,500 homes figure came from the mobile site (m.persimmonhomes.com/about).
Main site says ~16,000 homes (persimmonhomes.com/about) so bonus is only worth about ~£4,700 per home

Still, this excludes bonuses to other execs, dividends etc.

Persimmon are probably not alone here (they just happened to make the headlines), it just that when numbers align like this it strikes a chord and puts the claim that £££ is the barrier to building more efficient homes into perspective.

Scrapping zero carbon homes while fuelling the market through help-to-buy is a pretty deadly policy cocktail. @theCCCuk report shows the cost of retrofit is prohibitive so the current crop of homes may never perform to the standard required to limit emissions. #MissedOpportunity

Ultimately we will all pay, although occupants pay sooner as @ECIU_UK have demonstrated. Energy price caps are a crude tool fighting an unnecessary expense.
