Trump’s decision so troubled senior administration officials that COS John Kelly wrote a contemporaneous internal memo to document he had been ORDERED to give #Kushner the top-secret security clearance. WH counsel McGahn also wrote a memo of CIA & others' concerns about Kushner.

Needless to say, Trump himself lied about #Kushner's security clearance. He said in January that he played NO ROLE in directing WH officials to arrange for Kushner to get a top-secret clearance over CIA/FBI objections. nytimes.com/2019/01/31/us/… #NationalSecurityThreatPOTUS🚨
🤯Both Kushner & Ivanka complained to Trump about their security clearances. They told friends & advisers Kelly & McGahn were targeting them for "petty" reasons, not legitimate concerns flagged by officials. (Ivanka seems to have her father's skill at lying to people on camera.)
The more abnormal and alarming the lies and crimes, the more that DOJ OLC memo guidance that a sitting President shouldn't be indicted becomes absurd and dangerous. The sirens are going off inside Trump's own administration. That's why Comey, Kelly, McGahn documented it in memos.
Trump ordering top-secret clearance for #Kushner—despite known security risks (⬇️)—supports McCabe's warnings that Trump is a national security threat. That he, Ivanka, their spox lied about it says to me that the FBI/Mueller counterintelligence investigation is alive & kicking.
Ivanka categorically denied Trump's involvement in their security clearances. Just as boldly #Kushner lawyer Abbe Lowell said last May it was a "normal" FBI & intelligence community process. "Nobody in the political process had anything to do with it."
