Just learned about #TeamPillowForts while blocking another account tweeting #disinformation. Turns out there's a 😠nest of accounts that ties back @LouiseMensch and therefore to Rupert Murdoch.

These times are hard enough without fake resisters gaining then abusing our trust.

Rumors of @AOC-Russia connection. I couldn't understand why all around me there were rumors about this, and I dreaded checking them out because I thought sure they were true.
As it turned out, the rumors only existed in far-right #disinformation sources: Fox News entertainment, Washington Times, and RT•COM (aka Russia Today).

I realize now that I was following multiple #TeamPatriot accounts that were repeating the rumors.
Then we have another @/CitJourno Tweeter, @/LincolnsBible, making something out of the A-OK hand signal, which - in 2013 - meant...

and still does to most people.

Unless you're an evil, racist bigot, this ➡👌 just means OK.

Apparently #TeamPatriot people find amusement in the confusion their victims feel when surrounded by a bunch of accounts referencing similar rumors for which there's little to no evidence in reputable media sources.

Apparently requesting valid sources = trolling in their world.
Here's the thread referenced. At the time, I want aware that EC was in cahoots with KC, so it was quite a Twilight Zone - am I going crazy? - experience.

That KC has equated defending truth as trolling is all anyone needs to know about her character.

I'm astounded that more don't realize Trump is merely symptomatic of what the GOP has become. He's a figurehead, important to understand!

They're behind the extremist judges like Kavanaugh. Have you heard of The Federalist Society? the Judicial Crisis Network? Judicial Watch? Those are Koch and #CNP organizations.
The Mercers - with major ties to #CNP - backed Cruz for President, then Trump. They also have stakes in Cambridge Analytica and apparently Breitbart per chart. Rebekah Mercer connected Bannon with Trump.

Some who claim to be Democrats have stated pretty definitively that @AOC is backed, favored, influenced, or funded by Russia. Well, that was worrisome, so I just went and took a look for myself.

I Googled "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Russia," and the results were disturbing.

Three top results confirmed the rumors.

The only problem with that is, ALL THREE are conservatively-biased, at least two propagate both misinformation and disinformation, and one was used by the 🇷🇺Russians as a weapon in the cyber attack on the United States.

Just before I disappeared on holiday, I checked which accounts @EmbassyofRussia was tagging in the images of the Tweets it sent, one account stood out #NeilClark66 an RT Reporter, this has been going on for months more here 👆👉

He then mentioned me in RT!
Given RT is know for it’s veracity and the Russian for criticising other of what it does itself, would anyone be surprised that Clark blocks me, whilst claiming I block those I criticise?

I do block some accounts I discuss, but let me explain as this is a good example why...
Clark is using sophistry to claim a UK academic #im_Pulse, calling him effectively “shit for brains” for this Tweet 👇 is a death threat.

He’s reported him & me to Twitter, for a school yard insult, but made it look ominous, by removing context.! Is it a one off?

The extent to which the Russian tweetlords were targeting #BlackLivesMatter is significant. The top 45 most retweeted messages were from fake BLM accounts @Crystal1Johnson, @KaniJJackson, @JemiSHaaaZzz, @TrayneshaCole, @wokeluisa, @BleepThePolice, @BlackToLive, and @gloed_up.

 Meet @/shocker_daily, a low rent 'alternative news' provider.
2. You'll notice I use the / to prevent amplifying @/shocker_daily myself. Like naughty children, bad actors like this thrive on any attention, negative or otherwise. All attention helps them come to prominence in Twitter's promotion algorithm.

Don't help them, right?
3. These actors will typically insert themselves into the mentions of prominent figures & 'influencers' - frequently journalists.

They want to give the impression of a 'grassroots' response on their chosen talking point. To fool the journalist & his/her followers.

I don't know about other areas. This is Shanghai, and this is the Gubei area in Shanghai to be precise. I make no claims about other places.
As I mentioned before, WeChat is pretty invaluable because you can use it to pay for things and you can use it to call for the equivalent of an Uber, and it will tell you the distance/fare so you don't get scammed.
