This is why I can't watch movies: Towards the end of Crazy Rich Asians, Rachel and her mum board an A380 aircraft from Singapore bound for New York, BUT the A380 cannot fly to New York - its max range is about 2000 miles short!! And this lapse in reality bothers me.
Don’t even get me started on this scene from Argo.
1) a 747-300 (depicted here) takes off at 180mph/290kmph - there’s no way in a month of Sunday’s that cop car is doing that speed!!!!
2) the 747-300 wasn’t introduced until 1983. The Iran crisis was in 1979.

I have issues.
From the movie Sully, set in 2009 - this scene at LGA.

1) the American Airlines plane - that livery was launched in 2013. In 2009, they had the bare metal silver livery

2) United hadn’t merged with continental yet - they still had the stylized U logo in 2009 NOT the globe.
Final rant. And I’m off to bed. I clearly don’t deserve movies.

The Terminal - victor exits JFK to this dramatic reflection of the NYC skyline on the glass. Come on now, Manhattan is 20 miles away from JFK. We have all been stuck in traffic for hours getting there. Ugh.
Armageddon: the crews are launched in 2 shuttles in close proximity to each other.

NO. JUST. NO. the air turbulence from the one slightly ahead will make it so hard to keep the second one on track.

Also why planes are spaced out by a min of 2 miles and 5 for the A380.
That’s not even the biggest crime in Armageddon though. This is.

1) Taj Mahal is a mausoleum for a dead Muslim queen. Not a temple.
2) Hindus (depicted with their hands together and raised) don’t pray in front of a tomb. Furthermore a Muslim one.
