We did an interesting analysis a few days ago where we compared the Twitter wordclouds between our #Hamilton68 subset of trolls focused on US politics to that of the group of mostly American activists called #the200". They were featured here in politico politico.com/story/2019/02/…
First the domestic subset of our Russian influencer #Hamilton68 accts. Jussie Smollett featured more prominently which makes sense as provoking racial division has been a successful core strategy since 2016. #walkaway & #creepypornlawyer were also more prominent --#disinfo #osint
Over the same period of time a wordcloud was generated 4 #the200 group of accnts. Actually now roughly 180 due 2 Twitter suspensions. With the exception of the hashtags in red like #buildthewall & #aag which is the call sign 4 one of the accnts, there was overlap with #hamilton68
Here you can see the two groups #hamilton68 subset focused on US politics and #the200 side by side showing the top hashtags used between March 25-28th and highlighted significant differences in red between the two groups #infosec #osint
Heres the wordcloud 4 same timeframe shown in this thread 4 the #hamilton68 accnts that focus on Russian geopolitics. These subset groups of #hamilton68 seem disciplined about staying in their lanes. #nato cracked top 10 which is new & just a little bit of #maga & #muellerreport
The #Nato reference was interesting so we took a look at some of the actual tweets and it turns out it was mostly tied to 20th anniv of Nato's bombing campaign in Yugoslavia. #hamilton68 #infosec #osint en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_bomb…
Wonder if the @facebook & @Twitter crack down on white supremacists is why @geowashaxe was suspended? Dean "The Nationalist" was both part of #the200 and on our #hamilton68 list.
Always interesting 2c residual activity after a troll account is suspended. @geowashaxe was suspended in January 2019 & @gerfingerpoken2 was all over the IRA data dumps & suspended ages ago. U guys need 2 update ur automation scripts a little faster. Ur welcome. #infosec #disinfo

So finally got to the newest #Hamilton68 wordclouds. A few interesting things to note. First up the subset of #hamilton68 twitter troll accounts focused on US politics. This is 62k tweets from between Feb 27th through Mar 2nd. #infosec #disinfo #osint #psyops
These #Hamilton68 accounts were promoting #cpac2019, not surprisingly the controversy surrounding #IlhanOmar and a couple interesting smaller new hashtags #the200 and #themighty200 that I will discuss later in the thread. Also of note is the minimal attention to Tulsi Gabbard.
Looking at the #Hamilton68 subset of accounts focused on Russian geopolitics the conflict in Venezuela (#HandsOffVenezuela) was featured and new was the conflict between India and Pakistan. The #integrityinitiative continued to be a focus and again Tulsi was not that prominent

A few wks ago new words in the wordclouds of our domestic subset of #Hamilton68 Russian sympathizer accnts appeared on the topic of abortion. President Trump has been bleeding support among evangelicals & campaigns #walkaway & #buildthewall have proved ineffective #infosec #osint
It makes sense the #GOP would go back 2 their time tested political issue of abortion. And in this case push the most emotionally charged fringe like late-term abortions. The #Hamilton68 subset focused on Russian geopolitics showed a steady uptick around the topic #infosec #osint
We also looked at another #Hamilton68 subset that focuses on US Politics and contains a high level foreign sourced accounts & saw the same thing. This subset showed a dramatic increase in terms like abortion and late-term abortion. Something we've not seen before #infosec #osint

This #smollett story is a runaway train and a complete mess. Actual CPD detectives saying rumors circulating are not true. Safe to say at this point anything could be true and anything could be false. #disinfo #fakenews
When you have these as your major #Twitter nodes & 9% bot participation 4 the #Smollett story I think you can safely say its best to turn off #foxnews & #cnn, let the dust settle and come back in a few days to let "sourced" reporting bubble to the top. #infosec #disinfo #fakenews

Twitter released the tweets of another 418 russian accounts on January 31.
I'm going to use this thread to take a look at the information they gave us about these accounts.
And talk about other bots and trolls you can find using this data.

Of the 418 accounts 1 was a double, @CovfefeNationUS it was already included in the last batch of accounts.
One was not actually suspended until I reminded them.
2 of them had active backup accounts at the time of publication of the data.
around 320 of the accounts I had tweeted about a lot. So i'm not going to bother going back over them.
I found them right after NBC put out the 1st batch of tweets from the russian trolls.
They were bots, and most of the data about what they did is unavailable.

1. THREAD: Breaking down the FISA warrant

There has been a lot of movement in the past few weeks on the Carter Page FISA warrant, Bruce Ohr’s texts and emails, etc. For this thread, I am going to be focused in on the FISA warrant.
2. The FISA warrant on Page has been a central point in the Spygate investigation. It's been the subject of leak invest. memos, and foreign intelligence involvement. This thread is meant to be an overview of where we have come from, and where we may be going with these documents.
3. We received a redacted copy of the FISA warrant on Saturday, July 21. It has been alleged that much of this warrant was based around unverified “intelligence” provided by former British spy Christopher Steele. He is “Source 1” in the document. (pg16, Page Wrnt)

Few days ago I tweeted things I should not have. It was bad, I regret and apologize.
This sort of stuff undermines the effort of colleagues, and my own, to articulate the important role various disciplines play in taking ML forward and to create a welcoming and healthy community.
I meant to call out a person for a pattern of behaviour. I should not have done that, I did not give enough context, I worded things poorly, the rest is history.

Most painfully, I turned a personal thing into an us-vs-them message which I do not otherwise endorse.
Let me try to constructively address the situation and repair some damage with a positive message.

Few days ago, BNM revealed that half of the workforce in Malaysia is earning about RM1,700 a month and graduates with a first degree or diploma earn on average, starting salaries of RM2,207 and RM1,346 per month, respectively.
While on the other hand, the living wage for a single adult was RM2,700 per month; RM4,500 per month for a couple without children; and RM6,500 per month for a couple with two children.
We have been hearing a lot of employees complaining that their wages are not enough and some have been stagnant with very minimum increment over the years.
