1]It's #PoeticJustice,that i write a thread on the shenanigans in the #MDCALLIANCE on April 1st,a day loosely known as #FoolsDay.Sometimes you get the impression that some in the MDC are political fools.Are they ready to be a gvt when they aren't ready to be a political party?

2] #ZanuPF didn't win the #CowdryPark by-election,the #MDC lost it.They have learnt nothing and forgot nothing.I once argued that whoever resisted having the #MDCExtraordinaryCongress last year is a political tactician.The disaster would have been spectacular.

3]What we saw was just #MDC factional battles.It boggles ones mind how the #Mwonzora guy, misogynistic #Ndhlovu managed embarrassing votes yet he was the "official candidate".What makes the "unofficial candidate" garner more votes yet defying a party directive?

4]The level of indiscipline by the #MDC Leadership is worrying.Its totally off for supporters to boo 'senior officials'.Its off for NEC members to confront a VP in public.Its off for a VP to give a thoughtless interview.Its off for a SG to turn himself into a Herald newspaper.

5]One of the best MDC pressers was given by NC's Spokesperson soon after the elections.After a 5 minutes address,he was done.Unsatisfied journalists kept pressing for more info.& he had one answer."I WASN'T MANDATED TO SPEAK ON THAT".I said to myself,"this man knows his job".

6] #ZanuPF has so much discipline that if you want to know something about Pres ED,"contact #Charamba".If its about gvt, "you contact #MonicaMutsvangwa or her Min of Info subordinates".If its about the party "contact #SKMoyo".This ensures #discipline & #consistency.

7]The funny thing about #DouglasMwonzora is that he is proving to be the exact opposite of what the media 'accuses' him of being.He is not #disciplined, #mature nor #calculative.He is worrying the citizens who were entertaining the dangerous thought of his Presidency.

8] #DM isnt #disciplined.He doesn't respect protocol.Will always "share his opinion" yet as SG he should share his party's position regardless of his feelings.You cannot continue to be an individual in action,within a collective.He has a history of this behavior.

9]Dec 27 2017,MRT said:"The statement published today purportedly under my authority but issued by our SG is UNFORTUNATE,MISLEADING & GROSSLY FALSE...Our SG or any other leader has no authority to speak on matters pertaining the ALLIANCE...& such authority wasn't given to him".

10]DM had issued a statement which could have derailed the ALLIANCE pact,insinuating that the MDC would select candidates for every constituency yet the MDC was finalizing constituency sharing.He continued to speak on behalf of the ALLIANCE against MRT's public rebuke.

11]Post MRT,the disregard for protocol by DM persists unabated.Issued a statement on posts to be elected at Congress (so as to look democratic yet the rules say otherwise),before the MDC organs sat to make a determination.Did the same on the ongoing mini-congresses.

12]Perhaps sensing a #factional setback,the SG claims "2014 delegates who supported me are being attacked".Then remarkably acknowledging that the party hasn't had official communication on the issue which he hopes will come at their SC meeting.Again he has defied protocol.

13]In Jan,due to a disregard for protocol,poor sense of judgement & factional miscalculation,DM signed nomination papers for Ndhlovu before primaries.The party ended up with 2 candidates.He takes a somersault & claims structures are run by #Chibaya,elections by the Chair.

14]DM isn't #mature because his ambition has overtaken his duty of safeguarding the image of the party he plans to lead (without realising he already leads as SG).His interviews are pregnant with blame shifting & a revisionist history whose sole purpose is some eventual takeover.

15]DM isn't #calculative.He is undoing all the good he once did.You can't ride on an amplification of an incumbent's failings.The electoral college of the MDC isn't in the media.If this is a well calculated move,then the SG must work on his political arithmetics.

16]The #MDC needs a template on media engagement.Journalist can't call anyone whenever they want something juicy about the party.#ShadowMinisters,#Spokespersons,#ParliamentLeaders,#OrganizingSecretary,#Chairperson,should all concentrate on their portfolios.

17]I have an unpopular opinion.The Pres is better off allowed to appoint his top executive. @nelsonchamisa is a carpenter trying to work with another man's tools.He will always have a torrid time with these "im a product of Congress" characters who creat parallel powerbases.
