(thread) I can answer that question, Erick. 🙋‍♀️

Breaking laws is no longer a disqualification in the GOP.

In fact, law breaking has become a "badge of honor" in the Republican Party. (See link in the next tweet)

And I can tell you why.
1/ "crimes no longer a disqualification in the GOP": washingtonpost.com/powerpost/crim…

The North Carolina GOP chairman was indicted for fraud — and it's business as usual.
nytimes.com/2019/04/02/us/…

Member of the GOP who don't break laws, are fine when other people (even POTUS) do it.
2/ This astonishing video shows the ovation and applause Roger Stone received recently at a GOP event in VA, after his indictment.

It isn’t hard to understand the GOP law breaking: The GOP doesn’t think those laws should be there.
3/ Trump himself said "all our laws are so corrupt and stupid" expo.mlive.com/erry-2018/04/b…

The GOP wants to take us back to the days before such things as money laundering, campaign fraud, insider trading, etc. were illegal. They want to take us back to the 1920s. . .
4/ . . the era of robber barons, when white men could do as they pleased. Wealthy white men could cheat:
And they could grab:

Broidy broke a law they don't think should be there, so close their eyes.
Heck, they even cheer.
