#FLAG: I've heard some people I respect — including @MatthewMiller and @FrankFigliuzzi1 — suggest that Nadler should cancel Barr's scheduled hearing before his committee on May 2nd,

The argument is that he's not worth hearing from anymore.

I disagree. Here a few reasons why...
1. The impending hearing puts pressure on Barr, as Dems subpoena the evidence + unredacted report.

Every statement/appearance has been a disaster for him, even causing Mueller's team to speak out. IMO, it all ultimately forced him to release a less redacted report than expected.
2. There are important questions left to ask:

- Will the 12 referred investigations go on unimpeded?

- Why did he overrule/lie about Mueller's intention to leave obstruction to Congress?

- Outstanding Wikileaks questions.

- Has he assembled a team to investigate the #Oranges?
3. They MUST press Barr on Russian Interference.

What is DOJ doing to prevent interference, now and in 2020 — in terms of cybersecurity, social media, and voter systems?

Will he notify the public?

Will he pursue politically-motivated investigations into Trump's 2020 opponents?
4. Barr has previously stated he would not change the Special Counsel regulations...PRIOR to the end of this investigation.

What are his views on changing them now, perhaps for the worse?

Will he appoint another special counsel into Trump should they be necessary in the future?
#BOTTOMLINE: I could probably think of many more. But my point is, this next hearing with Bill Barr is incredibly important to go on as scheduled, for all of these reasons and then some.

Feel free to me know if you agree or disagree on this thread!
#PS: Nadler just subpoenaed the FULL #MuellerReport and all of the underlying evidence.

It's due on May 1st.

The day before Barr's scheduled testimony.
