Remember this good old bill that would have legalized running over protestors? I vividly remember it because several Trump supporting FB friends of mine posted about how much they loved it. I saw those posts after returning home from a protest. washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-r…
And if you think there aren't folks out there looking for an opportunity to test such laws. Get a load of this car's decal, spotted in Salem, OR last year parked (coincidentally?) in front of the Democratic Party's headquarters.
That "all lives splatter" meme got a few public officials in hot water back in 2017 when it was first circulating. kansascity.com/news/nation-wo…
That horrifying decal is available for sale at several different online retailers like this one. So before we start saying "look at *those* people in *those* countries who endorse running over protesters," let's not minimize that constituency here at home.

2. The article mentions Jared Taylor several times as a key figure in that white nationalist world who also circulated in the MAGA world as well.
3. In light of this information, it's worth remembering that Jared Taylor and another white nationalist pal of his had *front row VIP* seats to Trump's inauguration.

I ran across this quote in this article very much worth reading by historian Alan Taylor. "Few Americans know the political [as opposed to economic] argument for education advanced by the founders." theamericanscholar.org/the-virtue-of-…
It makes it even more powerful when we note that the article was published in September 2016, before a certain someone won the electoral college. One of the key words in the article is "virtue," and the electorate's ability (or lack thereof) to recognize it in its leaders.

A bunch of right wing goons came to Portland today looking to fight people who don't agree with their politics because....uh, freedom, I guess?
If you had told me in 2015 that I'd see a roving band of fascists shooting pepper spray and brawling with antifa on the street outside a bar I've been to several times...well, I never would have believed you. The Trump era has just been full of surprises, hasn't it?
Here's a thread from last summer when this same group invaded Portland. The T-shirts they wore make pretty clear what their political orientation is.

When will white women stop with this performative self-centering? My god. Enough. Muslim women are NEVER praised like this for wearing the hijab. In fact we are demonised and literally assaulted for it. This is so loaded and utterly grossly misguided.
I get it. I get it. The gesture is wonderful. But in being a white ally against racism, it’s also really fundamentally important to understand, not only, how deeply layered and nuanced racism is, but how layered and nuanced the cultures and religions are that you’re there for.
The hijab has become an incredibly controversial & complex part of a Muslim woman’s life, largely because of white projections & assertions onto both the hijab & the religion. You don’t just get to swing one on, like a good-guy sticker, to remove yourself from white complicity.

One justification the press should use in covering what Trump does and says a lot less is that he doesn't actually spend much time Presidenting.

Why cover a crazy old man's Fox-watching habit? Would you do it if he were your senile dad?
But if you're going to cover Mr. Trump's carnival barkering, it should be clearly labeled as such: "While Trump was neglecting Puerto Rico after Maria, he spent 3 hours on Twitter creating this faux scandal and watched 4 straight hours of Fox and Friends"
Then talk about what the people who are doing the job of the President are doing.

"While Mr. Trump watched his third hour of Fox, John Bolton was dismantling the global legal order based on his own authority, and Stephen Miller was kidnapping brown children."

i see Fair Play for Women have deleted all of their tweets prior to 2018.

So lets take a look at what they deleted, as well as evidence the person responsible for the tweets is still involved with the organisation.
