The vanity Fair interview of Christopher Steele stated clearly that the dossier was a product of Russian gov sources. This was two years ago. It's was all out there. The media didn't want to go down that rabbit hole.. so it was buried.

Source A was "a senior foreign minostry figure"
Source B was " was a former top level intelligence office still active in the Kremlin"

Source D: a person that organized Trump's trips to Moscow.

Source E was an "ethnic Russian" who was said to be a close associate of Trump's
Source F: a female staffer at the MOSCOW hilton....who worked with/co opted by an associate of source E

In other words every source of the Steele dossier were Russians or people very connected to Russia.

In other words it was russian disinformation.
Oh and then the article states clearly that the Sir Andrew Wood the british ex ambassdor to Russia met McCain irt Steele dossier. McCain then had his staffer go to UK retrieve the dossier and McCain gave it to Comey on Dec 9th. Setting another route to "legalize" the Spying.
