For over two years, lunatics have accused @realDonaldTrump of #treason based on their #collusiondelusion.

Did it matter to any of them that the #Constitution precisely defines what is, and what is not, treason?

Did it matter to any of them that, in the absence of a #declarationofwar, that Trump accepting nonfinancial assistance -- opposition research on the odious and loathsome @HillaryClinton -- could NEVER be #treason.

Whether it would reflect sound political judgment to accept such aid is a decision best made at the ballot box, but we don't twist and distort the clear lines set out in the #Constitution as part of a coastal hissy fit over an unexpected election outcome.

Of course, as an aside, if @realDonaldTrump's campaign had accepted such nonfinancial assistance, that would not have constituted a campaign violation. The @DNC knows this. Ask them about the role of @AlexandraChalup in obtaining #Ukrainian #sourced opposition research on Trump.

Complaints about Trump now describing the #RussiaHoax perpetrators as having engaged in #treason ring fairly hollow now.

This is why we tell our children about the #BoyWhoCriedWolf, and why, when we behave like everything is #treason, then nothing is #treason.

The #progressives, the #Democrats, the #electionnight #weepers beat the shit out of the word, "treason."

And folks who have read the Constitution consistently warned them away from the stupidity of their actions.

Stop. Don't do it. That isn't what is treason.

But they insisted on purveying their vitriol and lies, and in the process left the Constitutional Text bleeding and beaten on the side of the highway to truth.

And now they're angry at @realDonaldTrump for playing from their textbook?

Well, candidly, it's difficult to work up concern, but because the Constitution is desperately important to limited government, I am going to have to do what upsets my fellow #Trump supporters:

No, @realDonaldTrump, the #collusionhoaxers did not commit treason.

Oh, there's undoubtedly criminal conduct at issue in their actions. But the Constitution defines treason and withdraws from the #government any power (save amendment of the Constitution) to refine, improve, or change its definition of #treason.

So, let's get the investigation of the #hoax completed.

Let's uncover and address any corruptly motivated players who sought to frustrate the lawful election of the President, and who did damage to the Nation as a whole thereby.
