According to The @Telegraph, the heads of #UK intelligence were briefed about the contents of the #SteeleDossier before President Trump was made aware of it by @Comey, but notably after the 2016 presidential election had taken place. theepochtimes.com/uk-intel-agenc…
.@Telegraph also noted the involvement of Sir Charles Farr, the former chairman of #Britain’s Joint Intelligence Committee.

The role of the JIC is to “assess events and situations relating to external affairs, defence, terrorism [and] major international criminal activity.”
.@Telegraph reported #Steele met with Farr on 2 separate occasions to inform him of the events and info contained within his dossier.

The first meeting was reported as being one week after the 2016 presidential election in mid-November 2016.
By the end of his 1st meeting with Steele, Farr had decided that the allegations within the Steele dossier “had to go up the chain of command.”

"Within days, according to well-placed sources, the allegations were shared with the most senior intelligence figures in the country."
.@lukeharding1968, a journalist for The @Guardian, has previously reported on the early involvement of UK Intelligence, noting that #Britain’s @GCHQ was engaged in collecting information and transmitting it to the United States beginning in late 2015.
Additionally Robert Hannigan, then-head of Britain’s @GCHQ, traveled to #Washington to personally meet with then-@CIA Director John Brennan.

The meeting was unusual, given that Hannigan’s US counterpart was @NSAGov then-Director Mike Rogers, not #Brennan.
Hannigan would suddenly resign as head of @GCHQ on Jan. 23, 2017, just days following Trump’s inauguration.

The @Guardian later reported on speculation that Hannigan’s resignation was directly related to UK Intelligence sharing:
#Brennan repeatedly testified to Congress that any information he had regarding the Trump campaign was passed to the @FBI.

Brennan also admitted that it was his intelligence that helped establish the FBI investigation.
Trump ordered the declassification of 3 series of docs related to the #RussiaInvestigation & #spying on his campaign:
#FISA warrant application to #spy on @carterwpage
@FBI interviews with #BruceOhr
• all FBI reports prepared in connection with the Page FISA applications
Trump also directed @TheJusticeDept & @FBI to publicly release all text messages relating to the #RussiaInvestigation from @Comey, #McCabe, #PeterStrzok, #LisaPage, and #BruceOhr.
Afterwards, on Sept. 20, 2018, the president hinted at the reaction from foreign allies in response to his declassification order, during a live interview with @seanhannity:
