For Jeremy Corbyn supporters wondering why so many are furious at Labour... We knew the Tories were the enemy as soon as the referendum was called and the aftermath bungled (some have known for decades).
But to then discover that Labour were also the enemy, and apparently intent on remaining the enemy for the duration - now that's proper betrayal! (It's not rocket science: if you enable Brexit rather than opposing it, you're colluding with the Tories.)
So Remain has been forced to fight against *both* main parties ever since the referendum. It's almost impossible to overstate how utterly exhausting and soul-destroying that experience has been, and continues to be. So you bet we're steamed!
It's odd when you really think about it. Historically, Labour have opposed everything the Tories proposed, big or small, with instant, almost knee-jerk reflexivity. Then you get a bone-headed idea like Brexit, put forward to pacify the Tory Party extremists, and... crickets.
The Tories left you an open goal, flanked by the kind of inflatable bumpers they give small kids in bowling alleys so their ball can't miss, then they left the pitch and went home. And still you won't score! And with every wasted minute, our frayed patience gets more threadbare.
