This man refuses to represent us.
I cannot think of a better way to put it than that. Joe Biden strategically emphatically and consistently refuses to represent us.

I could carve a better man out of a banana.
Biden refuses to represent our just anger.
He refuses to represent our clear frustration.
He refuses to represent our justified fear for the future.

Worse, he refuses even to acknowledge them.
Never mind if America is ready for a female president. Are you ready for a Democratic president who presides with a clear intention of representing Republicans first and foremost?

The MAGA hat is a hate symbol, not because CNN says so (*do* they?), but because it is worn in service of hateful message, promoting hateful policy, designed to harm and exclude marginalized people.

It's hard to imagine a more tokenistic use of MLK than to put him in one.
By the way, I don't think MLK would support today's left, for the same reason he was skeptical of the left of his day: their willingness to compromise with racists on the basic humanity of marginalized people, rather than engage with the uncomfortable demands of justice.
Letter From A Birmingham Jail should be required reading, and should be read in public in place of the national anthem at sporting events.

It's always somebody else's basic humanity the Democrats should compromise on to win votes, isn't it.

Win whose votes? Why do you want them?

Do you think you'll get them? Why?
You're willing to compromise on abortion? To win the votes of somebody who wants to ban abortion?

Awesome.

The other party is willing to fight and cheat to ban abortion.

So which party gets the vote of those who want to ban abortion?

I'm sure they appreciate the compromise.
If centrist Democrats want to actually win votes, I'd say compromise the other direction.

Go where your opponent isn't. Go left. Compromise on your opposition to Green New Deal, universal healthcare, corporate money, impeachment.

If you want to actually win votes, that is.
