1/ Thread: Few days ago, I had a nice discussion with a French #infosec professional. He told me: “Maybe you don’t know it but some French infosec pros don’t like what you are doing”

A clarification is needed.

2/ I’m very surprise by the amount of negative feedback I received from the French infosec community. I don’t know why but I don’t receive the same feedback from the others infosec community 🤷‍♂️

3/ Dear infosec pros, I don’t care if you don’t like my account because this account is not made for you. It is here to make things change, to solve issues, force companies to fix their sh*t, to have an impact on millions of people.

4/ This is what I’m doing for almost 2 years. Thanks to this account and this awesome community we changed a lot of things and had a great achievements. And the plan is to continue.

5/ I don’t pretend to be super skilled but I can say I know my sh*t on Android. My goal is not to find super sophisticated vulnerabilities, my goal is to find the most impactful vulnerabilities.

6/ I don’t care about money, I don’t care about “my career”. I had a nice job before that and I still have 😊. The purpose is to do security differently.

7/ The main criticism I received is “I don’t like the tone of your account”. Yep this is expected and intended. Again, the goal is to use the influence of this account to make things change positively and sometimes you need to force companies for that.

8/ This tone is why this is working. Communication is a weapon and I use it. If you have another way to do it with the same results, I’m quite open.

9/ Finally, Elliot Alderson and Baptiste Robert are 2 very different persons. Don’t trust what you read on the Internet 😁
