Bet365 are reportedly going to move from Gibraltar to Malta because of Brexit, at a loss of up to 1,000 jobs (in Gibraltar, I presume... I am guessing a certain number of new jobs would be created in Malta)

It's fascinating to see no deal Brexit efforts being unwound inside Government. For instance, the BEIS department had 532 of its staff seconded to Brexit work, but they dropped that number to just 167 staff after the October 31 extension was announced.

Over at DFID, they had 134 staff working on Brexit. 100 of these staff were back at their normal duties by 21 May.

The MOD had 257 civil servants working on Brexit preparations. All but 3 of these staff have now returned to MOD duties.

Is Kent County Council in trouble? This news report says they tried to pull £250 million out of a major investment fund, but it doesn't indicate whether they were successful in doing so before the fund manager overseeing it locked withdrawals...

This could potentially have knock-on effects on Brexit preparations, because of course Kent is at the tip of the spear when it comes to disruption at the ports and congestion on the roads. So worth keeping an eye on.
And if the original news report is correct, then that represents nearly all of KCC's long-term investments, when you consider their most recent accounts. Seems remarkable they would have concentrated their assets to that extent. Hefty pinch of salt needed!

Everything you need to know about Boeing is that the company moved its headquarters from the Seattle area to Chicago entirely to avoid executives having to be near the impact of decisions they made. It was rumored that they found it awkward at social events.
There was no financial justification for it. Boeing has hated unions forever and tried to break them. Moving away from Seattle was another tool in distancing the company from its production and seeing and experiencing the consequences of its actions.
After moving to Chicago in 2001, Boeing began planning the 787. While the resulting plane was ultimately amazing, an endless series of bad decision making, largely around a lack of oversight among manufacturing partners worldwide, means the model will never make money.

1. The UK still does not have anything approaching a workable Brexit plan. The government doesn't really know what it wants and no preparations have been made for any outcome. Even if May accepts the NI backstop it will need infrastructure at Holyhead.
2. That we are this late in the game and still have nothing even close to a legal draft of an NI settlement gives you some idea as to how dysfunctional UK governance has become. They couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
3. Notionally when you have a clan of incompetent making a mess of things we chuck them out and put new politicians in. Except that the opposition couldn't run a bath. There is no possibility of them getting to grips with Brexit. It is beyond their capability.

The plan was to get all these unaccompanied minors across the border, resettle them in the US a 'refugees', and then start working to bring all their other family members over here too. So this wasn't just about 150,000 kids over 3-4 years coming in here unaccompanied.
I'm not sure what the complete totals were from 2009 to 2016, Obama's last year in office, but by 2014 it was well over 50,000/unaccompanied minors a year getting caught at our South border.
