#HappyPrideMonth - I need to tell you all a truth about the #LGBT. They are a mess. STDs, mental health issues, drug rates, and unhealthy behaviors abound.

I know because I’ve been out for well over 15 years. I have seen it all.

I don’t have any hatred towards the community. Far from it. But they are being led astray by people who tell them that their path to happiness lies in relying on government to legislate “acceptance.”

Big government can never be the answer. I see the LGBT heading down the same path as Blacks...a path to permanent victimhood status as pawns of the left

This is disturbing mostly because far-left LGBT orgs are done with gays and lesbians. They’re transgender organizations now, and as such will use the full weight of millions of dollars to legislate for an ideology most don’t fully understand yet.

Gays and lesbians are either expected to be fully on board with this or cower in silence, with the threat of being slammed as “transphobic” or shamed from being a part of the overall community as I have been.

All the while, HIV rates are STILL unbelievably high. Drug use and promiscuity abound. And all this happens while a sanitized happy #Pride message is sold to mainstream America by the very organizations currently letting these people down

Like I said, I’ve been out for years. I once bought everything that is currently being sold to the kids. It is mostly false. I like Pride Month. I’m totally cool with being gay.

But these kids need a perspective different from that of Hollywood celebrities and actors trying to sell them something. And that’s what I’m trying to give. It sometimes gets lonely being a sole voice of reason amidst the insanity...

But then I think of Larry Kramer who was trying to tell this community the truth to halt HIV/AIDS in the 80’s when it was DEEPLY unpopular to do so. And that kinda gives me hope. Because what’s right to say isn’t always what’s popular.

So I will go to Pride and celebrate the community, while still criticizing some aspects I don’t agree with. Because it’s about the next generation. I think they can do better than me. And I want to help them try.
