It's fascinating to see no deal Brexit efforts being unwound inside Government. For instance, the BEIS department had 532 of its staff seconded to Brexit work, but they dropped that number to just 167 staff after the October 31 extension was announced.

Over at DFID, they had 134 staff working on Brexit. 100 of these staff were back at their normal duties by 21 May.

The MOD had 257 civil servants working on Brexit preparations. All but 3 of these staff have now returned to MOD duties.

So if any minister claims that no deal Brexit preparations are still continuing apace, they're lying, pure and simple. Nothing is possible without the staff to work on it, and it's clear that the civil service is refocusing away from Brexit after being distracted for so long.

Bet365 are reportedly going to move from Gibraltar to Malta because of Brexit, at a loss of up to 1,000 jobs (in Gibraltar, I presume... I am guessing a certain number of new jobs would be created in Malta)

Is Kent County Council in trouble? This news report says they tried to pull £250 million out of a major investment fund, but it doesn't indicate whether they were successful in doing so before the fund manager overseeing it locked withdrawals...

This could potentially have knock-on effects on Brexit preparations, because of course Kent is at the tip of the spear when it comes to disruption at the ports and congestion on the roads. So worth keeping an eye on.
And if the original news report is correct, then that represents nearly all of KCC's long-term investments, when you consider their most recent accounts. Seems remarkable they would have concentrated their assets to that extent. Hefty pinch of salt needed!

2/ Mrs May will not be able to get the backstop removed from the WA. She will however get some additional promises and clarifications from the EU.
3/ This will not be enough to satisfy the DUP (what would be?) but many MPs, worried about impending no-deal brexit, will vote in favour of Mrs May's deal.

Despite her #BREXIT deal being defeated by biggest margin a government has lost a vote ever maybot seeks concessions on backstop despite being told to bog off by the EU with no realistic hope of a different answer
Corbyn meanwhile refuses to talk #BREXIT without no deal being ruled out despite knowing she can't do this whilst maybot makes no concessions either.

Facciamo un esempio: in Italia risiedono 28.168 cittadini britannici.

Dopo la Brexit diventeranno extra-comunitari. Cosa ne facciamo in caso di no-deal? Tutti espulsi con foglio di via il 30 marzo?

Oppure li facciamo votare alle elezioni comunali come ora?
Un alto esempio banalotto: l'Italia esporta 760 milioni di euro di vino, di cui 300 milioni di prosecco.

In caso di no-deal servono doganieri per le pratiche di esportazione. E chi glielo dice ai trevigiani che devono prendersi un broker a Dover per sdoganare?

Here are some of the key findings from the report in slide form.
First an overview of the study itself:
Rich qualitative data (online survey & focus groups) gathered across the Central Border Region. Detailed examples & viewpoints heard from people on both sides of #border.

Respondents to the survey came from across the 8 local authority areas of the Central Border Region, moreorless equally from both sides of the border. 50/50 male/female. 80% 31-65 yrs.
There were far fewer Leave-voting respondents so they got extra attention in our analysis.
