He decided to act now, with his friends from the kindergarten.

He was right: even if you live in Monheim 🇩🇪, at 250 kms from the sea, less trash in Nature means less dead 🐋

I normally buy tables at concerts I attend. Or should I say the company buys it. So 10 of us would attend. There was a time we bought 3 tables because a lot of people wanted to attend that concert. I think it was Olamide’s concert.
One day, there was a concert and as usual I bought a table. I didn’t ask for who wanted to go, I just went ahead and bought it. Surprise surprise... I found out only 4 of us were interested in the concert. I had to start calling friends asking if they were interested.

Story time. I ran data center operations for one of the largest banks in the world for many years. This is a high stress job that taught me many useful skills. Decision making under extreme pressure, telling execs their wrong and telling techies to stop troubleshooting ..
it taught me to quickly assess a situation and make a decision. taught me how to assess that quickly and reverse course if need be, and how to deal with shy techies who might have the answer; and to quiet brash execs who just want to be heard. 2/n
This story though is about one of those calculated risks, keeping perspective and just being a little lucky. One of the critical parts of the job was at the end of the business day when we had the cutoff for sending all our wires to the federal reserve bank. 3/n
