You know what really annoys me? The large online services that don't do any kind of email verification before activating accounts! I get idiots signing up my email address every few days, and there's no easy legal way to change it (getting a password reminder wouldn't be legal).
It shouldn't be rocket science for these companies with tens or hundreds of millions of users to have a 2-step process that includes an email confirmation stage where you can say "No, I did not sign up for this" which then shutters the account.
You know what, I'm going to name and shame. Latest two are Snapchat and Deezer. (Snapchat actually has a link to click to delete your email address rather than verify it - but that gave a server error on several tries, so useless!) Deezer? Nothing, and no obvious contact point.
