In case you're wondering, the FOIA language that yielded these records was for "all non-A-file agency records" regarding an ERO operation that occurred in or around [place] on or around [date] and yielded [number] arrests.
A FOIA to the "ERO Taskings" custodian will also yield significant records.

I’d like to think I’m a reasonably well-informed consumer of news about the #MigrantPersecutionProtocols and #RemainInMexico

The things I’m learning at #AILAAC19 from advocates appearing in these hearings daily and serving people subjected to these policies are next-level evil.

Imagine being told to leave your 12 year-old alone in Mexico because ICE didn’t file the Notice to Appear in Court for everyone in your family. Or being told your infant can come but you can’t.
.@taylorklevy discusses a 7 year-old in court bleeding from the head after getting attacked in Mexico. Didn’t get access to a nonrefoulement interview.

So this thread happened a year ago yesterday.

I remember writing it after listening to leaked audio of children crying in detention camps, and the workers trying to console them, then breaking down in tears as my own child slept nearby.

20 million views later, some thoughts:
1. We’re still trying to do the thing I was talking about: deterring desperate migrants through harsh, inhumane, and immoral detention conditions. The numbers of people imprisoned have skyrocketed in the past year, with no end in sight. The goal remains the same: Deterrence.
2. Most of the people who spread this think it’s me dunking on Obama or owning the libs. It’s not. The message, which I might have delivered more clearly, is non-partisan.

Deterring migrants through cruelty, imprisonment, and death is America’s official border security policy.

Ninth Circuit judges find themselves "mystified" at Ms. Fabian's explanation of the government's interpretation.
"You're really gonna stand up and tell us is that being able to sleep isn't a condition of safe and sanitary conditions." - Judge Berzon, on DOJ's appeal of decisions affecting CBP hold rooms in the #RGV
Also, a bit of news, as these things go, Ms. Fabian told the 9th circuit that while the notice & comment period on the Flores regulations has closed, she's not aware of when the final regs will be promulgated.

#immigration twitter: I know it’s a holiday weekend but on my mind: anyone interested in a private group discussion about how to identify / photograph potential asylum seekers/ migrants possibly in danger? I’m thinking this is ongoing journalism ethics discussion that is evolving
I’m just gauging initial interest (I don’t want to lead this) but thinking it could be a worthy off the record discussion to have with perhaps some outside experts weighing in and real life journos giving the reality.
It just seems like a lot has changed under Trump/ realities external pressures in CentAm et al and it could be a worthy (though difficult) discussion and it would of course have to be off record to be helpful. Anyway just thinking out loud.

Remember prior to the inauguration in Jan 2017 when James Clapper issued a statement after meeting w/Trump to discuss leaks to the media, Russia election hacking and dossier?

This was Clapper's statement 1/
I obtained emails from ODNI via #FOIA that provides a behind the scenes look at genesis of this statement and shows what the statement looked like in draft form prior to edits

For example, draft statement said dossier "was given to us." Final Clapper statement omitted that 2/
Draft statement also said, "President-elect Trump was in full agreement that these leaks are harmful"

Final omitted that 3/
