The GOP is too far gone to salvage. A party serving oligarchs, seeking theocracy, coddling white supremacists & xenophobes, oppressing women, abetting gun proliferation, trampling the rule of law, kidnapping migrant children and torturing their families...

But we could defeat the extremist GOP if we had a mainstream media that stopped normalizing authoritarianism.

And if we had a truly progressive Democratic Party that didn't cave and cower to every GOP power grab. A Democratic Party that didn't poll and pander...
SAVING AMERICA

And we are seeing signs of a progressive rebirth that will overhaul the stagnant Democratic establishment, in @CabanForQueens, @AOC, @IlhanMN, @RashidaTlaib, @RepKatiePorter, @AyannaPressley, and others.

An unapologetic progressive Dem Party CAN defeat the GOP.

To clarify, I'm going by poll averages over the past few months. I don't think the debates have materially changed the dynamics of the race or altered the top tier.
That said, I think Biden's recent downward drift and Warren's rise will continue.

Fond memories of the early dance/electronic scene, of which I was a part. Seems so far away from politics...
And to clarify for those who only know me from politics:

I spent more than a decade in the late 80s and 90s producing and playing keys on hundreds of deep house, acid jazz, and electronic dance tracks. Appeared on remixes by dozens of major artists, from Bjork to Miles Davis.

Though revoked by every Democrat and reinstated by every Republican
since, Trump has taken up the cause with renewed vigor.

Every time the global gag has been reimposed by a Republican president, rates of back street and self-administered abortions have increased.

3. So while Dharmashasta finds a mention in the Puranas, it is unlikely that Ayyappa would also be mentioned as Ayyappa’s birth happened many years after the Puranas were composed.

I woke up very early today. I could not sleep. While it sounds melodramatic to say it, it is because I came away from yesterday's Kavanaugh hearing feeling more acutely than ever that something is profoundly wrong with the way our country works.
It may be easy to shrug that off. To say: Of course, what else is new. Inequality has been growing for 40 years. The richest and most powerful have gamed the system. Racism and sexism remain rampant and institutionalized. We are fiscally reckless.
We spend vast sums on the military beyond any reasonable measure of our needs but under invest in children, infrastructure, our future and the aging. Most Americans, in the richest country in world history, live with crushing economic anxiety every single day of their lives.
