Hear me out. I remember when #Parkland happened, I went to pay my respects. I recall David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez, the other student activists being so aware that they had a limited media window to make an impact, to get their gun reform message out. Same thing now with the “camps.”

@MoveOn organized emergency responses around the country today. MOC are visiting “detention centers.” Some media outlets are getting access to photos. But we must remain on this- a year later it’s worse than ever for families separated, kept in squalor. #DontLookAway

There are many fronts to rally around, #NoWarWithIran, #NoTanksOnTheMall, #IvankaIsNotADiplomat, #MuellerReport, fighting to preserve women’s access to abortion, to name check some. Add in chaos, diversion amidst lots of serious issues; racism, attacks on the press. All of it bad

I don’t want us to lose this focus, we must harness the energy of people willing to take a stand to #CloseTheCamps. This boy is 12. I met him today at a rally in #NYC. When you see young activists, you feel a duty to fight along side them. It’s their future, & ours. #KidsHelpKids
