We started looking at tweets discussing the endorsements (desired or otherwise) received by the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates. We began by downloading tweets containing a candidate's name and "endorse", "endorsed", "endorses", or "endorsing".

Next, we filtered the dataset to tweets containing one of the phrases shown here in order to reduce false positives where the use of the word "endorse" did not imply the endorsement of the candidate mentioned in the tweet.
We ended up with 3244 tweets from 2655 accounts (the automated tweets are mostly newsbots that we've seen before and Facebook crossposts; exceptions will likely be covered in a future thread.) The most frequently seen candidates are Biden, Buttigieg, Gabbard, Harris, and Sanders.
To give a sense of what entities are endorsing each candidate, here are wordclouds for the tweets mentioning the endorsements of the five most frequent fliers. (Gabbard has disavowed the Duke endorsement.)
